Making a lot of enemies may mean you espouse lousy policies, or it may mean you’re taking flak right over the target. The “whys” would surely differ between those who currently say “never” to Huckabee or Romney and “never” to Palin.

Not really. This poll is about voting in the primary after all. There are several candidates I would "never vote for" in the primary but would hold my nose for in the general.

Actually, given the demonization of some of those candidates, I’m surprised it is that LOW. And I wonder what the “Never” number looked like for McCain, who got the nomination?
