This poll is total B.S.
I’m sure Newt has done damage to his campain but it’s still VERY EARLY.
Hey if you don’t like Newt that’s fine but some of you guys slamming this guy like he’s Obama part 2 are out of your minds. Same goes for those slamming Hannity.
If you don’t care for Hannity then don’t listen but for gods sake he is on OUR side and is doing more to help our cause than 99.999 percent of people on this board. Don’t bite the hand that feeds!
Let’s see, Newt was a hero when he boldly and strongly fought against the Democrats when Speaker of the House, but after sitting on the bench with Nancy, spending time with Hillary and stabbing Conservative Paul Ryan in the back, his support has evaporated.
I know it’s asking a lot, but perhaps the establishment Republicans could learn something from this.
Look at Cain, 13 points ahead of “you know who”.
And after the so called Cain Busting interview with Chris Wallace. I saw the interview, and the question was stupidly put and intentionally a set-up by wallace to trip cain up.
Cain handled it beautifully and made Wallace look like the elitist snob he truly is.
Rack up another point for the Hermanator! He is amazing and turning heads by the millions.
Newt was one of the oddest politicians that I ever saw. He always seemed most pleased when a liberal Democrat was complimenting him, which almost never happened.
Welcome to Free Republic, by the way!
Republicans favor former pizza CEO
Delegates and other visitors to this weekends state GOP convention in Wisconsin Dells favored Herman Cain, former CEO of Godfathers Pizza, in the rapidly evolving field for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.
Cain formerly announced his candidacy on Saturday in a rally in Atlanta. In a video released by his campaign, Cain enunciates a New American Dream built on constitutional conservatism and reducing the national debt. The video plays up his Tea Party roots with pictures of a Washington D.C. Tea Party rally.

Unfortunately you are correct. I was really excited to see Herman Cain doing so well on it until I realized what the poll actually was. I’m still pleased, but I don’t feel any tingling on my leg like Chris.
That’s pretty ded-gum funny.
Bye bye newtie.
woah— calm down....
I don’t like Newt or Hannity— I think they are both posers...but I don’t go onto the Hannity show thread and bash him— that is ridiculous behavior that some FReepers seem to engage in— I am not one of those. So “you guys” is not really an accurate phrase to throw at me. Some other guys maybe— not this guy (or gal if ya will).
I don’t go around bashing our side. I do however share my thoughts on appropriate threads.
As for Hannity— honey— he was part of the problem for quite a while....I remember listening to Hannity back when he was just a guy on the radio here in Atlanta....He is great for reaching folks who are wet behind the ears....but once you’re off milk and ready for meat, you can see how “establishment” he really is....most of the folks here on FReep are Meat eaters....so Newt and Hannity tend to not be very popular....I don’t put time and effort into attacking this folks- but I sure don’t consider myself attacking our side when a share a random thought or two on FREEP....
You may call it biting, I sure don’t recall BITING either of them— but I can honestly say— Neither of these guys feed me....I can’t help but feel like they feed each other and feed the Rino club though....
Oh my, my; we are all in tears!!! /sarc
If this poll is accurate at all, it shows that the more well known potential candidates are well behind the new faces on the scene. It’s shaping up as a ‘throw the bums out’ year.
A Zogby poll is every bit of what I just described as the “apolitical General Electorate”. This is truly interesting and something to watch closely in the coming months.
I saw the interview too. I agree I did not understand the question at the time. He just asked "what about the right of return" I think they had changed to the economy. You could tell Mr. Cain didn't understand the question and once he did he answered it perfectly. .
Dancing Queen was his demise.
Sorry...I disagree. I think Chris Wallace is a fair journalist and was a fair question. Like most American’s Herman Cain didn’t understand what it meant or the implications and he stumbled. Herman Cain is a quick study, he will be asked similar questions in the future and he will have to learn that he shouldn’t bluff his way through. It’s a small misstep for what I think is a terrific candidate. I’d post a picture of his Saturday rally but don’t know how. I wasn’t able to get close enough to the stage to get a good photo, which is both good and bad.
Newt is a fat, lying thief.
I may have come across as somewhat biased towards Wallace, you are correct, he is not like many of the hacks in the MSM, but he is an elitist in the higher political society. It was polite of him to further explain what he meant to Cain.
But the question was loaded none the less.
pretty much. you sign up, and every so often, they send you a poll.
