In an address to a joint meeting of Congress, Israel's prime minister pledged to make "painful compromises" for peace with the Palestinians, but said he would not agree to any deal that threatens Israel's security or its identity as a Jewish state.
Netanyahu, who received a rapturous reception from lawmakers on both sides of the political divide, said Israel wants and needs peace but repeated his flat rejection of a return to what he called the "indefensible" borders that existed before the 1967 Mideast war. He also restated Israel's refusal to entertain the return of millions of Palestinian refugees and their families to land in Israel. And, he maintained that Jerusalem, claimed by both sides as their capital, could not be divided.

Obama has not called for a return to the exact borders that Israel held before capturing east Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza Strip in the Six-Day War of June 1967. He, like the Palestinians, is open to land swaps so Israel can hold on to settlements it built after the 1967 war. Obama has not, however, offered proposals for how to return the two sides to the bargaining table. The Palestinians are refusing to come back as long as Israeli settlement construction continues.

The Propaganda Arm of the DNC
They hardly even let Rush get his prediction out before they fulfilled it. Wonder if the article was written before, during or after Bibi’s speech?
MSNBC is in ‘synch’ with the philosophy of the entire Obama administration: You can do whatever you want and create any impression about if you then lie about it with sufficient enthusiasm. Obama says Obmamcare is the magic bullet and the economy is fine; Napolitano says the borders are secure and safe and there’s no violence there, and waterboarding doesn’t work; Holder says the DOJ is doing its job and not driven by overt racism. The list is endless.
He also said that the Palestinian refugee problem would be solved outside the boarders of the Jewish state!
Prime Minister Netanyahu is a true diplomat!!
Arrogant Obama could learn a lot about diplomacy from Netanyahu (& he does not need teloprompters).
Looks like Congress had a lot of respect for this eloquent speaking Netanyahu.
FoxNews doesn’t report on MSNBC lying for Obama, but they should.
I was just going to write the same thing! Rush knows these idiots so well; they will do ANYTHING to make the reader i chief look credible.
And Rush also stated that it would infuriate us, and it sure does!
Of course, the unspoken problem with all this is that the PA/Hamas have no intention of honoring land swaps, so it would be the 1967 borders.
I want to see the House Republicans pass a resolution that reaffirms their belief that all of Jerusalem belongs to Israel. It would be interesting to see how many Rats vote against it.
The response to this speech is a very clear and dramatic indication of just how lame our ‘President’ is, compared to experienced and authentic leaders.
“Everyone knows Obama said that Israel must go back to the 67 Borders then negotiate from there so I don’t know why NBC would want to keep lying for Obama?”
Because that’s what they do! They don’t care about reporting truth; they just want their leader to look good.
Hilarious. This is why being reliant on a discredited spin machine like PMSLSD is a joke. Everyone including Lib Rat Jews heard what Obummer said in plain English. There is a reason everyone is calling this loser out on this irresponsible plan, because he said it and then double down on it. Good luck with the spin.
When Herman Cain told Chris Wallace that Israel didn’t oppose the Palestinians so-called “right of return,” he was egregiously incorrect. You have to know this stuff before you go on interview shows. The smart candidate would wait until thoroughly prepared before hot-footing it before the cameras and a hostile interviewer bent on a “gotcha moment.”
Yes, he will need to learn to pause, and ask questions to be sure to understand the question. And then to simply back away from the quesiton if need be.
I agree!! He praised the US unlike Obama who continully throws the US under the bus when he speaks abroad.
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
If I would have been asked that question, I would have said that is an Israeli issue that has to addressed by them only. And no, I do not support it, nor will I call for it to be happen. The Palestinians will have whatever land they receive if and when they can ever come to a peace deal with Israel. Let them return there.
I keep thinking back years ago, during Clinton, when the Palestinians were offered some 90% of all their demands, including a part of Jerusalem, and they turned the US and Israel down.
Fox likes to posture as 'Right Wing' and simultaneously deny it - it's all part of their Murdoch tabloid image. When someone gets really hard edge - see Glenn Beck & E.D. Hill - that person doesn't last.
