While Barack Obama tours the UK, Congress gets to hear from another head of state, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu. After lecturing the US President on the history and issues of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, Netanyahu will deliver his vision of a settlement on Capitol Hill:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would set forth his view of a future Middle East peace in an address to Congress on Tuesday and reaffirmed Israel would never return to its old, narrow borders.
I will outline a vision for a secure Israeli-Palestinian peace, the right-wing Israeli leader said on Monday about his planned address to a joint meeting of Congress.
I intend to speak the unvarnished truth. Now more than ever what we need is clarity.
The speech will start shortly, and can be seen at C-SPAN. What will Netanyahu have to say, and how will it be received? Lets open up the comments to get your feedback.

Great speech, Will zero give a snarky rebuttal speech?
Aam I the only one who can’t get the video to play?
Obama needs to find out who our friends are. Maybe he should consult a small town Civics teacher.
The President is such a putz.
Powerful speech by Bibi. I didn’t agree with everything (I don’t want Israel to make more concessions), but he did a great job, and his words were powerful and effective.
It was a live feed. Probably just over. I was watching as I was posting.
The FXN analyst said it was interrupted by 56 applauses!
This short speech was more compelling than the entirety of all the speeches by the TOTUS-reader since he was a rabble-rouser, uh I mean, community organizer.
I see Clyburn couldn’t be bothered to stand.
Fixed it.
Ah, but listening carefully to what Bibi said, he qualified those concessions with ‘to negotiate a peace with a Palestinian state which will recognize the Israeli state.’ That is an important distinction given that the Palestinian Authority now recognizes Hamas as their partner, and Hamas charter calls for not just the annihilation of the State of Israel but to kill every Jew! When the Palestinians acknowledge that they wil have a state of their own alongside a Jewish state, THEN concessions will be made, and only then. Also, Bibi stated a couple of precise ‘non-negotiables, like a continued military presence along the Jordan River.

Why don’t we just keep him and let the UK keep Obama. They would think it a good deal and I know I would.
Obama can’t seem to connect with Bibi. I think Obama is totally baffled by a man who is willing to stand up for his country. It’s a sentiment and motive that’s completely alien to our president.
Hussein can only personally connect to leaders committed to destroying their counties by curtailing freedoms -- like Hugo Chavez.
