A series of messages forwarded to The Daily Caller show a top aide to former Alaska Gov. and possible presidential candidate Sarah Palin mocking top political figures and even her bosss own daughter, Bristol Palin.
RedState.com founder and CNN contributor Erick Erickson is a total douchebag, wrote Palin speechwriter and domestic policy adviser Rebecca Mansour in a May 22, 2010, message. Greasy dumb ass with a talent for self-promotion. He threw himself in at the Govs SC rally. Self-promotion. (Erickson said South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley invited him to the rally).
Mitt Romney supporters are wacky as hell, Mansour wrote, but usually Romneys presence online is just an AstroTurf brigade.
Would love to tell Mitts lackeys to stop backstabbing my boss anonymously, Mansour wrote.
Then-California Senate candidate Chuck DeVore wants to be the next Hugh Hewitt (or Huckabee). He knows he cant win. He wants to become a personality. Give him a show to go away, Mansour wrote. Palin endorsed Carly Fiorina over DeVore in the GOP primary for the race, angering some conservatives.
Mansour sent these embarrassing and revealing missives as direct messages on Twitter to an online-only acquaintance approximately a year ago. The person who received the messages forwarded them to TheDC.

>>I am so sick of hearing/seeing the word douchebag. <<
If I was doing that (FR is as far as it goes for my “social networking”) I would use “magl” for Massingill ;)
The Daily caller is SCUM.
RAM’s betrayer is SCUM.
RAM needs to be more careful. She’s inexperienced and human. She’s also passionate about the Guv, a true battler, smart as hell and a great writer.
I’ve known of her since before she founded C4P. I love her. She can work for me anytime. She’ll learn this lesson well.
If you think it is a good career move for an employee to make conservative commentators dislike Palin you must not be very smart.
Who do you think Erickson is going to support now? Palin or Herman Cain? Take a wild guess. He has a lot of pull.
Ping to my post above in case you haven’t heard about all this.
You’ll feel better on July 1st.
Sorry FRiend. I messed the point of that post.
Our time has passed. Lord, TAKE US ALL AND DESTROY THE HUMAN RACE.
Dude where you hanging out with that crazy church last weekend at an end of the world party? lol :D
But would you hit it?
You can see what EE thinks about it yourself:

Much ado about nothing.
I’m already burned-out on this. I think there’s going to be several sorry parties, and the only completely innocent party is Sarah Palin, of course.
I wouldn’t want to be publisher Tucker Carlson.
Good for Ace! I didn’t go read the source article..don’t want to give DC the hits. It’s not really newsworthy or that interesting imho. It tells me more about the DC than it does Mansour or Palin. So the woman has a loyal staffer that is not a ‘polished’ political turd like Romney’s hacks....GOOD!
LOL!!
You are delusional and have no idea what you are talking about.
That’s just your opinion, and a lame way to discredit my input.
If you think it is a good career move for an employee to make conservative commentators dislike Palin you must not be very smart.
Never said that it was, mistakes happen, and this was a mistake. Will it sink her campaign? Not really, 2012 is a long way out and it’s not like Mittens or EE are HUGE figures within the conservative party.
Who do you think Erickson is going to support now? Palin or Herman Cain? Take a wild guess. He has a lot of pull.
Erickson has had chances to come out and support Palin and he never does because he views her as and I quote, “beyond radioactive.” In addition, he has endorsed Pence and he has yet to seriously support Palin. He even wrote an article not that long ago (and it wasn’t the first one) that bashed her http://www.redstate.com/erick/2010/01/11/im-afraid-sarah-palin-might-be-ruining-herself-unintentionally/
Many conservatives and I could care less about EE we don’t need him and Sarah Palin doesn’t need him. I also find it funny that she wins the RedState straw polls despite all the Palin bashing that goes on at that site. The reason why I left RedState is because to fit in you have to:
1. Dislike Sarah Palin or not be a vocal supporter of her
2. Endorse second tier candidates such as Pence, Pawlenty, etc.
3. Blindly take Obama’s word on his birth certificate
RAM’s insult would be a serious mistake if EE was, let’s say a Rush Limbaugh figure with millions of listeners, but he’s not. He’s a right of center commentator who runs a successful blog and is a commentator, among many, on CNN that bash Palin. These people have yet to destroy her, so EE not endorsing her, I don’t think that’s a big deal at all.
Tucker Carlson threw his judgment out the proverbial window when he published this crap. He’s not actually related to Margaret Carlson, but he acts like a sibling.
Dittos!
It’s pretty meaningless stuff in the grand scheme of things.
MWAH-Ha-Ha-Haaaaaaa!!! ;)
LOLOLOL. Oooooops.
If Palin runs she will need all hands on deck. It's not smart to make enemies of conservatives.
Never said Erickson was a nobody, you’re not very smart if you think that. He’s just not a heavy hitter. Palin’s endorsement and money put Rand Paul over the top in Kentucky. Erickson is influential, but he’s not a conservative heavyweight.
