Will U.S. Make Israel Indefensible?
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 5/20/11 | Staff

Mideast: With a snap of his fingers, President Obama has decided that Israel should return to its 1967 borders. For all practical purposes, he might as well say the Jewish state should cease to exist. It seems so easy, like "get the U.S. out of Vietnam" — or Iraq, or Afghanistan. In his big Middle East speech on Thursday, in which he called for "a viable Palestine, a secure Israel," the president declared that "the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually-agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized

If a few words, our “president” showed he was not one of us.

No.

All Obama can do is limit the “conventional” options Israel has to defend itself.

If Israel decides it is necessary to go nuclear, they can turn to Obama and say, “You left us no option!”

Worse ... Israel’s enemies must be watching this with bated breath and twitching trigger fingers.

If Israel’s enemies mobilized quickly (oxymoron, I know) and attacked, would the U.S. step in to help defend her?

Given the current Commander-in-Chief, I would think not. And that’s a disaster!

Barry Dunham is doing the work of his masters in trying to bring down the “little satan”, then he will resume bringing down the “great satan”. In the end he serves Satan himself.

To be honest I’m becoming weary of paying for the political actions of Israeli politicians that have one goal, to get reelected. I hate politicians because they are self serving and corrupt first.

Israel needs to come up with a plan and a solution on their own and do it! This ongoing conflict has cost Americans far too much.

If they don’t, then they should pay all the costs, and it shouldn’t be at the expense of my Medicare.

When there is perpetual war between Israel and the Muslims the USA ends up covering the bill. Guess what the USA doesn’t have any money. We’re broke!

As much as I support Israel, Ireland, UK and every other ally I support the USA first 200%. I want the USA made the priority, not Israel.

“With a snap of his fingers, President Obama has decided that Israel should return to its 1967 borders.”

And the Israelis are replying with a finger of their own.

Frankly, I could not conceive a better way to invite war in the Middle East than what Zero did with Israel. Talk about charged up Muslims - take a vacation in Egypt. Honestly, in the “Arab Spring”, how about a free trip to Egypt. Ask Laura Logan how hers went. I confess that I can no longer remember the passage, but the Bible says that Israel will turn a lot of ME countries - including Egypt and Syria - “to glass.” That's nukes to me. Israel has them and no longer has the US as a reliable ally, with Muslims circling around the abandoned Israel. Any guesses on the outcome? Back in 1992, I interviewed a guy for a job. He had spent the prior two years in Israel. I asked him what he thought of the ME peace process, and his response was that there would never be peace in the ME until one side had destroyed the other - and he wasn't sure who would win. That was 1992 - 19 years ago. Think Israel is any better off today than 19 years ago? Or even more threatened? In the US we view political disagreements and social policy differences with hostility, sometimes rage, but never annihilation. Israel faces all of it. It won't be long before war in the ME, and this time around, Israel isn't going to wait for some UN resolutions or World Court decisions. I think the time is near to Israel implementing a “Final Solutions” of its own - and it won't be pretty.

I don’t think it is the US making Israel indefensible but rather President Obama and his Administration. I don’t believe the American people truly back this position he has take.

I did enjoy the earlier article where Netanyahu said take the US back to 1847 boundaries. The Republic of Texas lives again ... maybe the Republic of Texas will annex across to California and place her army on the border.

Sorry, I just find that good today.

Obama will find that the Israeli Jews are not like the weasel GOP pocketicians he is used to running over. They do not pay attention to the Obama MSM spin machine. If backed in to a corner they will fight not talk.

The Jewish and Muslim volitility goes back to the days of Abraham the root of both, i.e. Sarha/Issac-David-Jesus and Haggar-Ishmail-Mohammed. Since the time of Mohammod the Muslems have spent time and energy destroying the Christians. There is no living together possible, only living apart and looking at the situation in Israel today even this option is not possible. Obama ,as a Muslim sympathizer, knows this.

Obama will find that the Israeli Jews are not like the weasel GOP pocketicians he is used to running over. That's all fine and Obama and they can do whatever they want, but Israel is another country just like France. I don't want any other country telling my elected leaders what to do. They should do it on their own. Sovereignty is about borders and cultures and protecting the citizenry within. Other countries need to do what they have to do, but stay out of our government and our business.

Not very likely. Israel is a nuclear power with around 400 warheads 6 years ago, which with their annual growth means they have 500-800 at this stage. This is better than China, Pakistan and India and with tech/usability level taken into account probably better than France and Britain, leaving them really outgunned only by the US and Russia.

That means, again, that dropping all niceties they can easily incinerate the entire ME, and have enough left over to make raven food of the US. With Russia and India having their back.

If pushed.

What is “indefensible” is Obama emboldening the enemies of Israel, the same cretins that are our enemies.
