AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka accused House Speaker John Boehner of blackmailing America for withholding his vote to raise the debt ceiling unless there are drastic spending cuts.
"Now we see Speaker Boehner and his colleagues engaged in a new round of blackmail with a ransom note that reads: 'Cut Medicare, dismantle the government, destroy hundreds of thousands of jobs to fund more tax cuts for the rich, or we will cause the United States to default on its debts'," Trumka said in a speech at the National Press Club on Friday.

can’t spend what you don’t have
unless you’re a democrat/progressive... then it’s all someone else’s money anyhow. so keep spending!
Well, which way will Boehner go? It was nice seeing the Senate Republicans actually pulling a filibuster on Obama’s pick for the 9th circuit of clowns. Hopefully the House will grow a set and not raise the debt limit. I’m not gonna hold my breath though.
Hey DICK!
Did you believe that “blackmail” was a strictly MOB job description, requiring a union card to exercise?
Since when do YOU object to such tactics?
oh...you think that if you call attention to the methods that “principled” people use, that they will have pangs of conscience that don’t seem to inhibit you....
Gee, I wonder what Dick Trumpka’s pay check looks like? I bet if he were a Republican, the Democrats would consider him RICH.....
Food stamps create jobs. Just ask Nancy Pelosi.
