HOUSTON -(Dow Jones)- Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal said Thursday that Israel should follow U.S. President Barack Obama's recommendation of an independent Palestinian state based on the borders that existed before the 1967 Arab-Israeli war.
In an interview with the Fox Business Network, Prince Alwaleed said Obama's plan, which was set out Thursday, was "straight to the point," and that for Israel "to be in peace with the Arab world, it has to abide by the roadmap Obama has established today."
The Saudi royal also said that Obama's "wait-and-see" approach towards the revolts that have shaken Egypt, Libya, Syria and Yemen has been "very prudent." He added that such unrest is unlikely to spread to Saudi Arabia, where the " political bond between the Royal family and the people is very strong."
The prince praised the success of U.S. forces in killing Osama bin Laden, saying that the terrorist mastermind's demise "is a plus not only for the U.S. but for the whole world."
Prince Alwaleed, a nephew of Saudi King Abdullah and one of the richest men in the world, runs Kingdom Holding Co. (4280.SA), a giant investment fund that owns large stakes in News Corp. (NWS) and Citigroup Inc. (C). News Corp. owns Dow Jones & Co., the publisher of this newswire and the Wall Street Journal.
Prince Alwaleed said in the televised interview that both Citigroup and News Corp. represented core investments for Kingdom Holding. "Our relationship" with both companies is "forever," he said.
The prince added that he was concerned, however, by the U.S. trade and fiscal deficits, and by the lack of progress towards lifting the debt ceiling. "The Congress and the president have to get this done," and lack of action won't only affect the U.S., but the whole world, he said.

On that very day, I will argue that we then return to pre-civil war laws and conditions.
Disclaimer: Honest, I’m not racist and never have been, but this scum has worn me out.....
And the Saudis should permit a big synagogue to be built in Riyadh.
If it were up to me your entire stinking country would be radioactive ruins. So do yourself a favor. Sit down and shut up.
