Taking a brief timeout from his perennial campaign, Obama has given a big speech on the Middle East. It’s not surprising how many billions more dollars Obama wants in his quest to save the world with our money.
None of that really matters, though, to the struggling American who’s out of work, on food stamps, facing double-digit inflation in every necessity of life, or fed up to his neck hearing Obama brag about getting bin Laden.
Forget the speech, dear readers. I’ll give you the whole thing in a nutshell:
America drowns while Obama throws our own life preserver to the Middle East.
Nothing this stupid, of course, is ever attempted by people using their own money. This special kind of stupid is reserved to those writing checks on other people’s bank accounts.
America is drowning in debt and the adolescent president makes another round of impossible-to-keep promises to the world he thinks he can save.
What is the very first law of life-saving? This is not hard stuff.
The very first law — the unbreakable natural law — is: a drowning person cannot save another. That’s cannot, as in “is not able.” A drowning person trying to save another merely dooms both to death — more quickly.
This is the same law which operates on airplanes. It goes against the grain of altruism. Which is why the airlines always put extra emphasis on the life-savers law when giving the safety lecture before takeoff. As all wise readers — especially frequent flyers — are aware, the flight attendant takes special time to advise passengers that when the oxygen masks pop out, one must act contrary to one’s altruistic instincts and apply one’s own oxygen mask first — before attempting to help another, whether an elderly person or one’s own child seated nearby.
This is not selfishness. It’s life-saving 101.
What the flight attendants don’t need to spell out is what will happen if you ignore this simple rule. If you don’t put your oxygen mask on first — idiot! — you will most likely pass out before you can save either your kid or yourself!
The same natural law, of course, applies to mothers of newborns. Good doctors are very aware of the mother’s inclination to deprive herself of essential sleep and nourishment to serve the needs of her wholly dependent infant. New mothers are known to practically collapse under the weight of maternal instinct, if not heavily cautioned on the natural laws of preservation. If the mother so exhausts herself and does not tend to her own needs first, her infant stands a much-diminished chance of surviving and thriving. This is not rocket science, but it goes against the grain of the maternal instinct and so must be stated — often many times — before the first-time mother actually gets it.
There’s an old expression that serves good purpose here. Be careful that you don’t become so heavenly that you’re no earthly good.
Having high ideals and unselfish goals is something for which all good people strive. But when one’s high-minded desires overwhelm the basics of self-preservation, then all that high-flying, “do-unto-others” rhetoric actually becomes more destructive than the most selfish person could ever be. Folks just minding their own business and taking care of their own needs, at the very least, do no harm to others. Do-gooders, on the other hand, always minding other people’s business while ignoring their own, often do quite a lot of harm – even to those they insist they are really trying to help.
Which brings us back to President Obama and his innate arrogance. Only a truly arrogant fool, using other people’s money, could possibly ask the struggling American taxpayer to dole out more money to save the world — at a point when we cannot even save ourselves from economic crash-and-burn reality.
What’s even worse about this fool’s-errand speech is that the money he’s promising on our behalf is for the Islamic regimes which daily threaten to destroy our way of life and grow stronger as we grow weaker. Any American with a mere grain of common sense will see this presidential folly as not merely stupid but also traitorous.
Just imagine for a moment, dear readers, if the World War II generation had attempted to use the Obama strategy to defeat Nazism. Instead of bombing the SOBs into ignominious defeat and occupation, we could have given them billions to make nice with us. Right. Great strategy. The Nazis would have used the money to build more “ovens” and get to atom bomb superiority, all the while laughing and sending their best and brightest suck-up artists to the diplomacy tables.
This is, by the way, precisely what the North Koreans do with every nickel we send to them for food, supposedly to give to their people. We send money to crooked, evil regimes every day around the globe, which is turned into weapons that will one day be used against us. But I digress into common-sense thinking — way too much for D.C. do-gooders and bureaucrats to understand.
This “strategy” is simple: give your enemies the rope with which to hang you.
Now, it is highly unlikely that Obama will be able to wrangle another dime out of a Congress made more sober with each day’s increasing deficit hanging over their heads. But that won’t stop the teenager in chief from promising another huge increase in Dad’s American Express limit to all the beggars of the world.
The next time anyone wonders why Ron Paul’s “cut off every penny of foreign aid” message resonates with so many Americans, here is the clue.
Only ninnies of the lowest order try to save the whole world when they cannot even save themselves.
The rewards of electing a person with divided loyalty, a faith that decries the founding beliefs of America and who was designed to destroy America for the rebirth as the most powerful nation on Earth....that is an Islamic country.
The article seems to ignore the very real possibility that he is NOT a fool, and is doing it intentionally.
Obama needs dragged kicking and screaming, by patriots with torches and pitchforks, out of the White House, then thrown into a Fed Max prison.
And then, we should get to B-slap every single idiot that voted for this scum.
Yeah, seems that the founding fathers understood that. Too bad that the US has chosen to ignore that really good bit of advice.

Obama promises Israel ‘unshakeable’ commitment

JERUSALEM (AFP) — Barack Obama was heading for Europe Thursday after vowing to forge an “unshakeable” bond with Israel if he becomes the next US president and warning a nuclear Iran would pose a “grave threat” which the world must forestall.
The Democratic White House hopeful hailed Israel as a “miracle” as he courted Jewish voters at home, taking pains to stress he understood the security fears of the Jewish state and would not push it into a peace deal.
“I bring here an unshakeable commitment to Israel’s security,” Obama said Wednesday, after a day meeting top Israeli leaders including Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, opposition Likud chief Benjamin Netanyahu, and President Shimon Peres.
Olmert, hosting Obama for dinner, replied that the presidential hopeful was following a tradition of the “great friends of Israel.”
“I know how friendly you are, and I know how much you care for us,” Olmert said.
The Illinois senator also tried to convince the Palestinians, during a short trip to see the conflict from the other side, on the occupied West Bank, that he would sponsor a vigorous peace effort if elected.
Obama picked his way through the tricky currents of Middle Eastern politics on the latest leg of a high-profile international campaign swing meant to assuage fears among some US voters that he lacks experience on the global stage.
The senator reiterated his vow to stop Iran developing a nuclear weapon, but defended his offer of talks with leaders from the Islamic Republic, promising to use “big carrots and big sticks.”
“A nuclear Iran would pose a grave threat and the world must prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon,” Obama said, as he visited the southern Israeli town of Sderot, long in the firing line of rockets from Gaza.
Olmert said during his talks with Obama that Israel expected Iran to have the nuclear weapon “by the end of 2009 or the start of 2010 at the latest,” Israeli public radio reported.
Obama however refused to budge on his offer to talk to Iranian leaders, which has sparked consternation among some in Israel, and drew charges that he is naive by his Republican rival John McCain.
“I would at my time and choosing be willing to meet with any leader if I thought it would promote the national security interest of the United States of America,” he said.
Obama held just over an hour of talks with Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas after sweeping into heavily guarded Ramallah in a motorcade.
“I will not wait until a few years into my term or my second term if I am elected in order to get the process moving,” Obama said of Middle East peace efforts.
“I think we have a window right now that needs to be taken advantage of.”
Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erakat told AFP that Obama told Abbas “if he wins the election in the United States he will be a full and positive partner in the peace process and will not lose a single moment in pursuing it.”
Obama also said that he had not backed down from his comment that Jerusalem should not be divided, which he made before the US Jewish lobby last month, sparking anger among Palestinians.
“I have not changed my statement,” Obama told reporters in Sderot after touring the home of a family in which a young boy lost a leg to a rocket fired by Palestinian militants from nearby Gaza.
“I continue to say that Jerusalem will be the capital of Israel. I have said it before and will say it again... but I’ve also said that it is a final status issue” that must be decided by negotiation.
Obama’s original comment was seen by some observers as prejudging final status peace talks, and his campaign has since said that it was poorly worded.
The senator also said he stood by Israel’s refusal to negotiate with Hamas, which the United States and European Union consider a terrorist group.
“It is very hard to negotiate with a group that is not representative of a nation state, does not recognise your right to exist, has consistently used terror as a weapon and is deeply influenced by other countries,” he said.
US polls showed Obama has yet to lock in an overwhelming advantage among the normally solid Democratic bloc of American Jewish voters, just over three months before the US election.
On a day rich in imagery, he paid his respects to veteran statesman Peres, and his role in Israel’s history.
“You have been deeply involved in this miracle that has blossomed and we are extraordinarily grateful not just as Americans but as world citizens for your outstanding service to your country,” Obama told Peres.
Earlier, the Democratic senator toured the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem to the six million Jews who perished under the Nazis..

I vow to constantly refuse the imagined eventuality of a world dominated by Islam.
And it may even come down to a reversal of roles that when America is truly and completely brainwashed by Islamic infestation that the REAL Americans will revert if necessary into human suicide bombers.
Those that fervently believe the odds are too great to counter Islam need to be taken out behind the woodshed and given a lesson of whoop-si doo. I actually have a younger brother who believes t its useless to fight against Islam, he would rather serve as a slave, be safe, be fed and to live. I have disfellowshipped him sadly.
He simply refuses to fight.
It makes one wonder if this is the plan to complete the socialization of America by forcing thinking Americans to toss this piece of Chicago scum out of the White Hut. The ensuing counter measures by our enemies running this fiasco would amount to an armed put down of the ‘insurrection’.
Our nation is, indeed, at the gates of peril that resemble Spain’s predicament in 1936. The problem is that we haven’t a Franco or a Pinochet in the wings.
And then, we should get to B-slap every single idiot that voted for this scum.
That would be one heck of a cardio-workout
