The Doc’s program yesterday did not get into anything interesting until midway of the 2nd hour (when he spoke of the Sandler racketeers). He spent most of the program speaking about DSK and declaring that is all we want to talk about. That’s a putdown of his own audience. Why are you acting like a putz Doc? Are you in a contract to broadcast that you want out of and don’t wanna pay the penalty clause for quitting? Or do you get a golden parachute for being fired? Jeesh, he sucks lately.
It’s like Savage has handed off the strong point-man items to Levin who I now tend to listen to live instead. I miss the old Savage. I now skim his rebroadcast instead of listening to him live.
I fear this is the Doc’s way of letting us off easy (as we leave on our own accord out of boredome) as he cruises into retirement he keeps saying he’s gonna do.

I happened to have enjoyed yesterday’s show. Lots of little tidbits between the lines if you know where to look. That’s why I like Savage.

One issue was what savage was doing yesterday. LOL. Yes, he is being avuncular — “you schmucks want me to talk about it so you can feel better and then not do anything about” — and I do appreciate that. But he could speak to all the problems like he used to do, and now he seems to rub our noses in it but saying it’ll only “give me a migraine; give me a break.”
Maybe the powers that allow him on air won’t let him tell us that it’s up to us to make a difference, and he’s fed up with playing their game. But he’s never DARED say that, not even in his books. So all I’m saying is that I can read that between the lines of his behavior, and yet it’s all speculation. He’s just not doing the job he used to do.
Single-issue type listeners should love the contemporary Michael Savage — all whiner all the time.
Maybe your tastes have changed. Sounds like the same Michael Savage I’ve listened to for over a decade.
Especially so far today !
