The DA and the NYC Police chief wouldn’t go out on alimb for a maid with a guy like this if they didn’t have a really good case!

You sure have a lot of faith in NYC bureaucrats. High profile cases are what they live for. Bogus sex charges are how we got Janet Reno.

A different judge rules today he is allowed out on bail. Not the same judge who refused to allow bail the other day.

As a woman, who believes rapists should be castrated with dull knives and left to die where they fall, I have to go against my natural inclination here.
The ‘victim’ is a muslim. He’s a ‘big shot’ and can be brought down by this claim. Khan is a Hindu/Sikh name.
Bottom line- I wouldn’t believe a Muslim who said they were on fire if their headrag was in flames.

From FoxNews:

A New York judge granted bail for the embattled former IMF chief who stands accused of sexually assaulting a maid at a posh Manhattan hotel.

Dominique Strauss-Khan was granted $1 million bail and home detention. His arraignment hearing on his indictment is set for June 6.

His attorney had told a New York court he was an 'honorable man' who would not skip bail. He also said the arrangement agreed upon will cost his client $200,000 a month.

What does this mean it will cost his client $200,000 a month?

Smells like a setup to me.

Watch and see who replaces him as director of the IMF and whether any significant policy changes are made.

It was $1 million cash, PLUS a $5 million, and around the clock monitering.

Since he is not charged with a capital crime, he has a right to reasonable bail; and the terms are reasonable.

I called setup yesterday.

First....what are the chances he would do this??

They act like she's sweet, demure, the girl next door....just trying to make a living...kinda like Chrystal Magnum

I'm sure it's crappy work but I'm also pretty sure she's VERY WELL paid...it's NYC and that's not a Motel 6.

Home confinement and around-the-clock monitering. Electronic monitering is part of that.

Because he is a high-profile person, he won’t be going anywhere.

He is the textbook definition of a flight risk.

He is under house arrest with guards and one of those devices on his ankle. And he has to pay for it.

What does this mean it will cost his client $200,000 a month?

I guess it means that he will agree to rent an apartment in a specific area, that he will assume the cost of ankle monitoring and pay the bill the city sends him for the cost of the corrections officers/policemen charged with guarding him.

And he has enough extra money to bribe the guards and the monitoring company rep into derelicting their duty, if need be.

Khan is a Hindu/Sikh name.

No, he's Jewish. Khan is a variant of Cohen.

An even better-and more logical-target.
As a Jew he is guilty of being alive- this is so obvious!
Her credibility factor is LESS than zero, IMO.
And if he were a fellow Muslim- she should have no case at all. She’s chattel, property, believes in subservience-wouldn’t have reported it then.
I would pull out all stops to defend him.
After all- how many think Bin Laden should have had a ‘fair trial’?
Damage is done either way- and THAT is the reason for all of this.
