Cut him off. This isn’t charity; this is enabling a lifestyle choice that IS, as part of its definition, dependency.

Actually I think we should keep paying this guy.

Pay him 1 cent every month!

And of course I am sure he not so disabled that he doesn’t get out and vote democrat. If the democrats can redefine marriage, and redefine the genders, then I am sure that redefining age is next.

He’s putting together a very coherent argument for a guy on disability.

Coburn is right.

“You wanna test how damn serious I am about leaving this world, screw with my check that pays for this apartment and food. Try it. See how serious I am. I don’t care,” the California man said. “I have no problem killing myself. Take away the last thing keeping me here, and see what happens. Next time you see me on the news, it will be me in a body bag.”…

I'm trying figure out the down side to this.

This should be a no-brainer: instant cutoff of benefits. And a big, fat bill for all of the money he’s unjustifiably taken from taxpayers like ME!

For the same reason we are paying hundreds of thousands (maybe millions) of other able-bodied Americans to not work. The old gimmie gimmie/entitlement trap. Once the gate is open, just TRY to close it... not gonna happen.

These folks need to be cut off (along with the fatties who sit on their butts and grow fatter day-by-day while sucking mightily off the taxpayer’s wallets).

If we cut off his check he’ll kill himself? Sounds like a win/win to me. I suppose it’s venal of me to hope for a case of adult onset SIDS

Beyond weird. People like this should be at the very least institutionalized.

He needs to contribute something to the world: When he kills himself after his welfare fix is cut off, he will at least be contributing a large amount of fertlizer to the trees where he is buried.

Alternatively, this scam artist could fulfill his contribution to society by providing amusement, being put in old fashioned stocks and pilloried in front of the Capitol in D.C. He will be kept there in his usual diapers, and anyone who cares to can come by and feed him or change the diapers any time. His sentence will be up when he has lost 150 pounds and made a commitment to 1000 hours of Community Service collecting trash from the roadside.

One certainly has to admire the compassion and wisdom of FDR, and LBJ’s “Great” Society.

The number of able bodied adults riding the backs of taxpayers on the strength of a claimed addiction to drugs, alcohol, sex, overeating, computer games, some other lack of self control, plan old wierdness, or some behavioral issue or character flaw is astounding.

Problems that would have been dealt with a generation or two as laziness, failure to grow up, or just plain dishonesty and scamming are now politcally correct “disabilities”.

I know of many able bodied men and women on disability and food stamps who are perfectly capable of doing just about anything you can think of, such as hunting, driving, home and car repair and maintenance, etc. Their claimed “disability”? Drug or alcohol abuse or overeating to the point they get tired just rising in the morning.

What do they do to cope with their “disability” until the next government check shows up? - they lay around doing drugs, boozing in bars, or stuffing their faces with more food.

Many doctors do not participate in this kind of scamming and will not help able-bodied people to claim an unjustified disability. But the scammers just doctor shop until they find the right one.

Tom Coburn: Why are we paying disability to “adult babies”?

Because the APA sees "disorders" as a growth model for business. The more behavior they can classify as disorders the more cash flows to their members.

Soon everyone on earth will suffer from a "disorder" in need of therapy or medication provided by, or under the supervision of, an APA approved therapist.

Get in before the rush.
