Four white teachers at an East Falls elementary school have filed federal lawsuits claiming discrimination by a former principal who allegedly suggested that they were unfit to teach black students - the most recent episode in a racial tug-of-war that has dogged the school for several years.
The teachers filed suits last week claiming that a former principal at Mifflin Elementary School, Charles Ray III, who is black, created a hostile environment at the school in 2008 and 2009.
The suits allege that Ray forced white staffers to read an article that said that "white teachers do not have the ability to teach African-American students."

Therefore, he must also believe that an African-American president does not have the ability to govern white Americans?
Looks like it is time for Obama to have a “beer summit”!~!!
Taxpayers will pay. Teachers smell the money.
My wife had a principle just like this. The principle actually had workshops on how you have to teach minority kids differently (lowering expectations) and said straight out that a skinny white woman can't teach black kids. Needless to say they are both gone. Wife got out of that school at the end of her contract but the principle was gone before the school year was up.
How about that a half-white, half-black President doesn’t have the ability to govern anyone?

Two observations. First, why would anyone want to teach urban blacks in Philthydelphia?
And can anyone teach those who do not want to learn?
There was a time when white teachers in Philadelphia were valued by the students and their parents. In the 1960’s, my wife taught at the Ludlow School at 9th & Ludlow St., made famous by Bill Cosby and his “Fat Albert” gang.
The kids would escort her to her car each day so as to protect her from neighborhood gangs. A black crossing-guard was abducted, tortured and raped by one of these gangs. The students weren’t going to let that happen to their teachers.
Philadelphia has become the black hole of black ignorance and racism on the East Coast, perhaps out-hatemongering the schools in Baltimore, Newark, DC and some of NYC.
Thank the Democrats and their radicals in the unions who continue to make these schools the shitholes of non-education that they have become over the decades.
It is time that the black parents speak up and defend their good teachers no matter what the color of their skin.
Thought so...
Black teachers can't teach them either.
The Black dependency problem in this country is getting worse not better. I see Black youth who seem to be joyfully racing each other to get to the bottom first like that's and admirable achievement.
If we have a financial/economic collapse in our future like some are predicting...heaven help us.
These people have no idea how to take care of themselves and they will come for you/me with a vengance if food and other consumables get short.
I can attaest to what you say. A friends nephew was a teacher in Philadelphia and the black kids made his life miserable. PC doesn’t allow us to point out that these kids not only hate whites, but are uneducable.
“The principle actually had workshops on how you have to teach minority kids differently (lowering expectations) and said straight out that a skinny white woman can’t teach black kids.”
How’s that mentality working out for those black kids? Now that Hispanics are our largest minority group, both parties no longer have to pretend they care about blacks.
“PC doesnt allow us to point out that these kids not only hate whites, but are uneducable.”
They are increasingly segregated out of the lives of productive Americans - the sense of urgency that “something must be done” is gone. Most of us will never meet them in our lifetimes.
“First, why would anyone want to teach urban blacks in Philthydelphia?”
The “combat pay” in urban districts is much higher than the neighboring suburbs.
“And can anyone teach those who do not want to learn?”
No, but you are paid regardless, so who cares?
