Good gawd, they are really ignorant.
Why do they let “reporters” report on something they know nothing about.
Ask the reporter why an aircraft can fly and you will likely get something along the lines of “Well, little angels pull the plane into the sky.”
Because if they didn't, 'reporters' couldn't report on ANYTHING............
Back when I was working in the Aero Barrio, I had a friend (happened to be a J-school grad) who VERY seriously asked how we designed the storage for “those plates that the flames from the engines push against”.
He was buying, so I didn’t even laugh at him.
IIRC, I told him that design wasn’t on my Department’s job list. Don’t recall what lie I told to cover that coughing fit, though.
