By Well, it looks like some more fascist roosters are coming home to roost. Apple, Google, and others have tricked the American public into buying a whole bevy of smart devices over which they have total control over which applications that you shall or shall not be allowed to install....
It would be as if you bought an oven from General Electric to cook your meals, but you could only buy your food for that particular oven from GE and, even worse, GE decided what food they would sell you.
Oh, you wanted to buy some meat to cook? Well, sorry GE is opposed to meat-eating on ethical grounds, so they wont sell you any and, sorry, but your oven is tethered to GE and the door wont open unless it detects that GE food is going to be put into your oven.
So, guess what? The government fascists like thuggish Democratic Senator Charles Schumer from New York have figured out they can control the applications you and I are allowed to have by controlling corporate fascists like Apple.
Yep, the Schumer -thugs have figured out that because applications for smart devices are already gate-controlled by the corporate overseers, the government can step in and exercise its own control over the gate-controllers.
This is not theoretical, either. Last week, Schumer hauled Apple and Google before the Senate and raked them over the coals because he doesnt like the speed-trap-avoidance apps Buzzd and Fuzz Alert.
I suppose Apple and Google will cave and withdraw these apps because Schumer doesnt like them. With the intimidation factor established, and without passing a single line of actual legislation, the Schumer types will no doubt soon bully the smart device app gatekeepers into ostensible self-censorship....

Buy your own radar detector. Problem solved! (of course, don’t speed either!;)
With all the police layoffs anymore I’m not so worried about speed traps.
But, the intent here is to remind you that you shouldn’t speed. When your radar detector beeps it is “reminding” you to not speed.... and slow down. And most people slow down, too so it works. Radars are a good thing.
Ah, but they’ll move the remaining police to the jobs that bring in revenue — handing out speeding tickets.
Remember and keep the eleventh commandment: Thou shall not get caught.
I once worked for an electronics tinkerer. He built a radar-simulator that would send out radar-like signals.
It was fun to watch him push the button, and you'd see blinking lights on the dashboard of the car ahead, and they would slow down and pull over to the right, and he'd zoom past.
If you could build something like that then you might be able to jam the signal and interfere with the radar guns.
Of course, that would probably be illegal. It might take them a while to figure it out, though.
