ACTION NEEDED NOW - CALL, EMAIL, FAX LEGISLATORS TO STOP THE CT “BATHROOM BILL” HB 6599

URGENT: BILL IS ON THE CALENDAR AND IS SCHEDULED TO BE VOTED ON TODAY
Even if you do not live in Connecticut, you should be concerned about this bill. It may be coming to your state very soon, as millions from Tim Gill ('Sec. of State Project') and George Soros' 'Open Society Institute' are behind this effort.
SUMMARY: The Connecticut Legislature is about to vote on HB6599, the "Bathroom Bill", which gives broad and needless special privileges to "transgendered individuals" but from which all amnedments to protect the public and children have been defeated by Democrats kowtowing to the extremist LGBT lobby. As a result this bill as now constituted, would permit ANY man who claims female "gender identity" even if he has a beard and is not wearing women's clothing - MUST be given access to women's facilities, including public and private women's restrooms, locker rooms and showers. The "Gay Mafia" is fighting tooth and nail to win this fight, because it could be used as a model nationwide. We must stop this right here, right now, in CT.
How the "Bathroom Bill" HB6599 Would Affect CT Residents:
On the surface, this bill appears perfectly legitimate: “An Act Concerning Discrimination”. It prevents “Discrimination” in the title, what could be wrong with that? But all you have to do is go ONE LEVEL beneath the surface and it becomes crystal clear how destructive this bill is.
• It means that a man who is a sexual predator could claim to be "transgendered" and enter a women's public bathroom, locker room or shower. DO YOU WANT YOUR WIFE OR DAUGHTER IN THIS SITUATION?
• Under the bill, persons, who choose to express their gender identity as both genders at the same time (yes, beards and breasts), permanently, must be permitted to teach, coach, mentor, and advise young children without objection by parents or Boards of Education. Those who do object will be guilty of discrimination under this proposed law. A bold attempt to indoctrinate our children and stymie parental rights in Connecticut.
• It means that when your son’s first grade teacher, Mr. Jones comes back from vacation as Ms. Jones, you, the school board and town would be forced to permit him to continue to teach the class of 5 and 6 year olds. Parents would NOT be notified, or be able to opt out. DO YOU WANT YOUR CHILD EXPOSED TO THIS?
• The bill does NOT require trans-gendered men to be even dressed as women to take advantage of its protections. A trans-gendered man, having a "dress down" day, for instance, may still feel more comfortable using the women's public restroom as an expression of his gender. Nothing in this bill would prevent him from using the women's bathroom, over your objection, in denim and button-down shirt..
***Violence and peeping by men in women's bathrooms happens all across this country. Connecticut is not immune to these social problems. The April 20, 2011, edition of the Waterbury Republican includes a startling first hand account by an elderly woman of her encounter with a man in a mall's public restroom. In 2009, at Connecticut College, a man was found peeking underneath stalls in the women’s bathroom and arrested (source). In 2008, police arrested a janitor who videotaped at least 16 women using a cell phone camera hidden in a bathroom stall of the Stamford train station (source). March 22, 2010, The Portland Press Herald reported that the "South Portland police charged a 30-year-old man with invasion of privacy after he was allegedly caught in a ladies bathroom peering over the stall at a woman." (source) A February 10, 2010, article in the New Haven Register reported the conviction of a man who was "filming staff and clients last June as they undressed in his Guilford martial arts studio. A fifth charge of risk of injury to a child was not pursued." (source) These are just a few examples of mischief in Connecticut's women's bathrooms. Why would our legislators invite more trouble by permitting any man into women's public bathrooms, particularly men sexually attracted to women?
THIS IS STATE SPONSORED DISCRIMINATION AGAINST THE OTHER 99% OF CT RESIDENTS.
Whomever votes for it is CLEARLY IN THE POCKET OF SPECIAL INTEREST RADICAL EXTREMISTS. You need to let them know that if they vote for this, you will remember this at the polls, which is right around the corner.

This bill appears to prevent discrimination, but to me, it simply avoids common sense.
