White House shuts out Herald scribe

The White House Press Office has refused to give the Boston Herald full access to President Obamas Boston fund-raiser today, in e-mails objecting to the newspapers front page placement of a Mitt Romney op-ed, saying pool reporters are chosen based on whether they cover the news fairly.
I tend to consider the degree to which papers have demonstrated to covering the White House regularly and fairly in determining local pool reporters, White House spokesman Matt Lehrich wrote in response to a Herald request for full access to the presidential visit.

The corruption and hypocrisy in the White House is more massive and deeper than the current Mississippi River flood. Front page editorials, critical of conservatives, are the standard operating procedure for the MSM!!!

We have very nearly arrived at a totalitarian government. It may have to be taken down with extreme prejudice.

An old article, but interesting nonetheless:
Reporters say the White House is thin-skinned, controlling, eager to go over their heads and stingy with even basic information. All White Houses try to control the message. But this White House has pledged to be more open than its predecessors, and reporters feel it doesnt live up to that pledge in several key areas:
Day-to-day interaction with Obama is almost nonexistent, and he talks to the press corps far less often than Bill Clinton or even George W. Bush did. Clinton took questions nearly every weekday, on average. Obama barely does it once a week.
The ferocity of pushback is intense. A routine press query can draw a string of vitriolic e-mails. A negative story can draw a profane high-decibel phone call or worse. Some reporters feel like theyve been frozen out after crossing the White House.

You know, if they keep shutting out reporters, they’ll cut off access to anyone who will help get their story out...then they’ll be screwed in 2012.

Washington DC’s 630 WMAL’s Chris Plante just finished a segment on this topic. Had a ball mentioning all the past ‘incidents’ where reporters wound up locked in broom closets and other strange places.
Also spent a few minutes talking about the new US Navy cargo ship to be named after Caesar Chavez.
We truly live in interesting times.
Jack.

Interesting poll at the link to the BH.
0's getting his azz handed to him over this one. 95% say the WH has no business regulating which papers have access according to how they cover the news.
Comrade 0's going in the tank again!

What is really pathetic is one would think the MSM would freaking wake up and start pushing back hard against this usurper and his flying monkeys
Instead they make excuses, continue to bend over and kiss his skinny ass because they are vested in from 2008
Must be type of Stockholm syndrome

Its all about control, Reynolds said. At some point this will blow back on them. Most presidents behave in a more refined fashion."The blow back, if it happens will come too late. The Administration is quite effective in policing the media. Besides, we don't have a president. We have a savior.

If you google search this story, you basically find it is only reported by the Boston Herald. Other papers are towing the State Media line. They’re either too in the tank and/or too scared to do real reporting... and they wonder why their circulation numbers keep dropping.

The White House pool reporters nipped this in the bud, when they attempted to exclude Major Garrett from one of the presidents conferences.
They all refused to attend unless Major was permitted to attend too.

From the Article:
"My point about the op-ed was not that you ran it but that it was the full front page, which excluded any coverage of the visit of a sitting US President to Boston. I think that raises a fair question about whether the paper is unbiased in its coverage of the Presidents visits, Lehrich wrote."
Obama and his "psychophants" obviously choose to ignore history; a plethora of newspapers were originally created to foist their political views, agendas, and candidates onto the public.
Hence, we have such great "unbiased" newspapers as: St. Louis Globe Democrat; American Democrat; Arkansas Democrat-Gazette; Log Cabin Democrat; Lonoke Democrat; Appeal-Democrat; The Mountain Democrat; The Press Democrat; The Union Democrat; The Daily Democrat; Herald Democrat; Tallahassee Democrat; The Star Democrat; Natchez Democrat; Foster's Daily Democrat; Democrat and Chronicle; Muskogee Daily Phoenix & Times Democrat; Albany Democrat-Herald; The Tribune-Democrat; etc, etc.
I could go on and on! Suffice to say, ALL newspapers have a political or ideological slant to them.
Obama just doesn't want negative press and is clearly abusing his position of power to censor opposing points of view.
All hail Our Thin-Skinned Dark Overlord.
Cheers
