As the world is subjected to a hail of propaganda from Arabs regarding the 1948 disaster inflicted upon them by the creation of the state of Israel, Arab press watchdog MEMRI has released a video that places the Arab claims in perspective. In the video, a 92-year-old Arab woman, originally from Hevron, glowingly recalls on Hamas-Gaza TV how the Arabs of Hevron, including her father, without provocation, massacred the peaceful Jewish neighbors they had lived beside for years in 1929 almost 20 years before the 1948 War of Independence. Needless to say, there was no State of Israel then, no IDF, no "occupation" etc.

Genesis 16:12
Yes, the peace of death.
For a second I thought these threads were about Helen Thomas...
“How come none of these leftist idiots gave a sh*t about Palestinians before Israel came along?”
Before Israel came along, there were no “Palestinians.” The word was brought into use to describe the poor, pathetic mooselimbs in “refugee camps.” Of course, they were only in the camps in the first place because they were bigots who refused to live in peace alongside Jews.
Right you are. The Palestinkians have no more inherent right to the Holy Land than the Jews, and arguably less. They were stateless for generations before the Jews turned the desert into a garden and Arab envy and enmity ensued.
This is an outstanding first person, eyewitness account of the 1929 Arab riots and massacres of Jews in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Hebron, Safed and elsewhere in the League of Nations Mandate of Palestine, which was under the control of the British at the time.ML/NJThe supposedly neutral British authorities were in fact quite anti-Jewish, in that they prohibited Jews from obtaining arms, even for their own self defense. When Arabs warned of coming violence, which was intended to attack and murder Jews, the British authorities did nothing.
This 222-page book was printed at least four times in 1929 alone, and presumably many times thereafter. I am fortunate, thanks to a good friend, to own a copy of the Alpine Press' fourth printing.
For anyone who wants to know about how the Jewish people in Israel became so focused on self-defense, this book is an excellent place to begin. For while there was certainly Arab violence against Jewish people in Israel before 1929, that was the great turning point, at which Jewish farmers, scholars and merchants determined that if they wished to survive in Israel, they could no longer proceed as they had for so many centuries, both in Europe and in the Middle East.
Those who had escaped from the Spanish inquisition to Morocco discovered that a new kind of hell--in many ways an exact duplicate of what they had fled--awaited them.
But in 1929 in Israel, their ancient homeland, they realized they could no longer rely on prayers to God and their faith in the humanity of Gentiles. They must, at all costs, learn how to defend themselves.
In the 1920s, Maurice Samuel raised his voice in warning to humanity concerning the dangers of anti-Semitism. His first book, a passionate cry against the blood libels contained in the Protocols of Elders of Zion, was followed six years later by this one, an eyewitness account of the physical and bloody results of hatred against the Jewish people.
Unfortunately, all too few people listened. Now, in 2006, it would be a good thing--before Jim Baker and company begin new "peace" initiatives that demand more concessions from Israel--if all Americans, particularly in the Congress and State Department, would read this historical account. They would learn a great deal of critical, albeit ugly, Arab history, most of it long since whitewashed from textbooks concerning Middle East studies.

I hope she lives long enough to see her cause destroyed.
“...the Arabs of Hevron, including her father, without provocation, massacred the peaceful Jewish neighbors they had lived beside for years in 1929 almost 20 years before the 1948 War of Independence.”
Sudden jihad syndrome has been around alot longer than I thought.
12 And he shall be as a wild ass among men; his hand shall be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell over against all his brethren.

Encore eh? Hows about a nice Dier Yassen sound to you!
Actually Palestinian referred to Jews in 1929. Arabs were Arabs, Turks were Turks.
“It occurs to me that muslims must have a different definition of peace than the one the rest of the world uses.”
Yes, the peace they believe they will have once they’ve killed all of their enemies.
It makes me a little bit happy that this woman has lived in Palestinian squalor for the better part of 92 years. If ever there were a case of someone getting what she deserves, this is it.
bump
Did you notice they cut her off before she told of the looting and details? She would do it today and has probably trained her family to feel the same.
