Does this mean women in the infantry? Ladies, I don’t mean to offend but I have come in contact with few if any women who can hike a 60 pound pack 20 miles. Quite frankly my ideal woman wouldn’t be able to do this. If that makes me sexist, so be it. However, I (like Rush Limbaugh) live in Litterolville (I love this line). Therefore I realize that men and women are different. No man is ever going to give birth and the vast, vast majority of women are never going to be bench pressing 200 pounds.
The physical requiremnts of Soldiers and Marines on the front line jobs of infantry, reconissance, artillery etc... preclude the vast majority of women. It’s silly to even debate this.

Exactly.
People need to read about the Okinawa campaign in WW II, and the tremendous physical effort required by soldiers and Marines to secure that island hill by hill. Pay special attention to the battles (plural) to take Sugar Loaf Hill.
I’ve been on DOZENS of speed and forced marches where the men were FORCED to pick up the womens’ loads. On the five-mile speed march, the women dropped their gear less than 1/2 mile from the start and the rest of us picked up their rifles and slung their ruck between two of us. At the end, the women hurried to pick up their gear and then rant to the front of the line, sometimes crossing first.
To be fair, there were women soldiers who wanted nothing to do with this. Some were admin and some were nurses, who only wanted to serve and hand no delusions about being men. Then there where the types that wanted all the perks with none of the responsibility. That never worked out well.
There are certainly reasonable accomodations for women serving in support roles. Certainly, a nurse should not be subject to the same phyiscal standards of a grunt or gunner, and their service can be just as rewarding and appreciated.
So????
When was silliness ever an impediment to the latest hare-brained scheme from the radical left? Your comment could rightly be applied to almost everything they propose.
