WADI KHALED, Lebanon Using horses and mules to carry their possessions, Syrians crossed a shallow river Monday to reach safety in Lebanon with tales of a "catastrophic" scene back home: sectarian killings, gunmen carrying out execution-style slayings and the stench of decomposing bodies in the streets.

Chit! I had to re-read this twice to make sure they weren’t talking about Detroit.
Don't look now, but one Islamic Republic is trying to outlaw the body from which you emanate.
In order to bomb Syria, one has to start a proxy or an actual war with the Mullahs regime in Iran. Those who removed Saddam & have bombed Libya so far, after 32 yrs, seem not to want to lock horns w/ current ragheads in Iran; at least not at present. I guess "raghead" mullahs are more difficult to lock horns with anyway.. So, eccentric Ghaddafi, and easy to invade Libya appear to do, for now.
Not to worry. Eventually, they'll be forced to start a war with the Mullahs' regime in Iran.
lol.. tremendous youtube clip re the speech of ‘eccentric’ Ghaddafi.
3 points I especially agree with: a) Arabs have lacked ‘unity’ (I’m being kind in choice of word ‘unity’ — ‘Stupid’ would be *slightly* more accurate). b) Iran cannot be avoided. c) It is, rather, HAS become a MESS.
My disagreement is “Arabs never occupied/invaded any land except we occupied Andalucia (southern Spain) unjustly which drove us out”. The Andalucia part is correct, tho Bedouin-Moslem-Arabs DID occupy other non-Arab land(s).

Yes I believe you are correct. We should let them sort their own crap out as far as I am concerned!
Drill and reap the oil that we have and give them as little money as possible.
Stop financing the Mooslims and their attempt at a worldwide Caliphate.

I usually laugh when someone brings up her name.....but it always comes out like....cankle, cankle....I don't know, maybe it's just me.
Her statements are always comments of convenience.

As long as it’s Muslims killing Muslims, I’m ok with it.
Bashir Assad’s father, Hafez Assad, murdered 20,000 people in the city of Homs. And why not? Nobody’s going to stop it. This administration has its hands full just trying to write a hushed complaint that isn’t too strongly worded.
Paging Hillary. Your favorite dictator’s body count is increasing dramatically.
I was hopeful( I wasn't online in the 90's on the 'net so I think I may have been a minority) and wanted in the 90's after Desert Storm to have soldiers amass on Syria's borders to keep Saddam's weapons from moving there and to keep the Iran>Syria>Hizbollah line stopped, also to protect the Kurds which as is now history were slaughtered by Saddam after the allies( all of them) oddly left. But of course wtf do I know. There was more to it than that; reasons I mean, Syria is a horrific nation.
I just hope now Israel deals that country a blow in which it'll never recover.
Obama will do nothing and declare victory. He's just that pres____ent a loser of a leader.
I heard it was 10,000 and the city was Hama. (My mother was from Homs, actually.)
The thing is, in the 90’s Saddam was against Syria. Infact Saddam was arming the lebanese army(backed by most christians) while it was fighting off the syrians. Syria was onboard with GW1 and got everyone else to butt out of lebanon, where it exiled one christian leader, assassinated another and jailed the remaining christian leader because he refused to take part in a puppet government. So basically in GW1, I dont think there was a threat that he would move his weapons to syria, given that saddam was a longtime enemy of Bashar al assad, also given syrias close ties to iran and the fact that saddam had just come out of a long and bloody war with iran in 1988 its doubtful that there was any cooperation in GW 1 over weapons transfers.
correction: Saddam was a longtime enemy of HAFEZ al assad. Bashar is his son and current leader.
The European/Obama pronouncements that they have a “right” and even a “right under international law” to bomb Libya are shown to be pure hypocrisy and self-serving convenient props for picking and choosing where they will/must “take action” and where they can’t/won’t.
Am I entirely opposed to ALL the actions in support of the rebels in Libya? NO.
Just don’t tell me “international law” or a vote at the U.N. or any other prop identifies a “right” for that action.
It is neither a “right” nor a wrong.
A nation either finds it in THEIR interest to take such actions, or they don’t. End of story.
The rest of the moral relativist pronouncements about what gives anyone a “right” to justify such actions is pure nonsense.
This is a real challenge for nobama and his “WTF” foreign policy. Just who the heck is he supposed to drone/bomb to death? Maybe if he flew AF1 over Syria and dropped his Nobel Peace Prize on their heads that would help.
Ah, the Middle East.
What’s a day without more horror stories emerging from that forsaken place?
Too bad about the churches. They are literally some of the oldest Christian churches on earth.
