~ EXCERPT ~
**snip**
The sane among us recognize that in a free society, income is neither taken nor distributed; for the most part, it is earned. Income is earned by pleasing one's fellow man. The greater one's ability to please his fellow man, the greater is his claim on what his fellow man produces. Those claims are represented by the number of dollars received from his fellow man.
Say I mow your lawn. For doing so, you pay me $20. I go to my grocer and demand, "Give me 2 pounds of steak and a six-pack of beer that my fellow man produced." In effect, the grocer asks, "Williams, you're asking your fellow man to serve you. Did you serve him?" I reply, "Yes." The grocer says, "Prove it."
That's when I pull out the $20 I earned from serving my fellow man. We can think of that $20 as "certificates of performance." They stand as proof that I served my fellow man. It would be no different if I were an orthopedic doctor, with a large clientele, earning $500,000 per year by serving my fellow man.

We can think of that $20 as "certificates of performance." They stand as proof that I served my fellow man. That might be true in a free enterprise society. Unfortunately, it's been a very long time since it was true in the United States, where ability to influence the government "earns" one a more predictable return. In that case it's a "certificate of pull."

According to thier grand dream, you must serve only the elitist progressive liberal not your common man. I choose to defeat the liberals rather than try to understand thier mental disability

Some people have the ability to use their resources effectively so as to make them increase. Others simply consume whatever resources they are given. Taking resources from those who could make them increase, and giving to those who cannot, will reduce the total resources available to everyone.
Of course, that's not the way the liberal's model of reality works. Since one of the tenets of liberalism is that whenever the liberal's model disagrees with reality, reality is defective, the fact that redistribution destroys wealth is simply not a fact as far as liberals are concerned.

I’ve read or heard Williams previously describing the $20 bill as a certificate of performance or as evidence of having served my fellow man. It’s a great routine, telling one of the important lessons of capitalism.

"Understanding Liberals"
You cannot understand something that
does not make sense. Liberals are contradictory, moral relativist, utterly inconsistent hypocrites who make a point of altering or rewriting history when it does not jibe with their agendas. Not only can you not understand them, you cannot reason with them either, lest you want to become the target of profane, often incoherent rants and possible physical violence.
If you have not read it yet, check out Lyle Rossiter, MD's study on liberalsm as a mental disorder. He also wrote a book entitled "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness". WND provided a very brief
overview
The more you read, the more it all makes sense, that far left people truly
are mentally ill. I don't any kind of psychotherapy can unbend that warped paperclip they call their psyche.

Capitalism creates wealth from nothing..
Socialism burns that wealth up.. like a fiscal fire..
A lot of capitalism and a little socialism produces a dynamic society..
Too much socialism overriding capitalism... degrades society.

Dr. Williams,
What in the world did Ben Bernanke do for he fellow man that allows him to print so many of the "certificates of performance"? And why does everyone seem to think that I served my fellow man half as much as I really did after Chairman Ben's certificates of inkiness start being passed around?
