So Trump was your idea of a litmus test for conservatives? Wow! You must be one of those crazy nutjobs I’ve been hearing about that actually believed Trump was a viable GOP candidate.
Get real! No one I know of thought he was serious or legit. But it is an undeniable fact that he did damage to Obama. Even the White House said so.
And if a nut-job like Trump could do that, then why not a real candidate?
Look. YOU will be the one to eat crow when Palin (or whoever the frontrunner is this fall) goes on the attack against Obama over the BC issue.
But if you think we conservatives can run another campaign like McCain did where he actually said we have nothing to fear from an Obama presidency, then (self edit here).
We can not win on “the issues” alone. But Trump (idiot that he is) proved that the BC issue can do serious harm to Obama. You better hope that Palin (or someone even better) picks up on this. And you better hope YOU like crow.

Either a candidate signs on as a full birther OR they don’t take the Constitution seriously and need to be dismissed discredited and disparaged - as YOU did with Palin quoting her saying the issue was a “distraction”.
Trump was NEVER a viable candidate - it was a publicity stunt bought largely by birthers. What is undeniable is that the release of the LF COLB cut the number of birthers in half and obliterated any hope of a Trump candidacy.
I thought “Palling around with Terrorists” was a much better approach actually.
No serious candidate is going to make this their issue - Trump self immolation “damaged” 0bama in your mind - but in reality it cut the number of birther in half. That you are still in denial about it shows that you were not, perhaps, very rational about the subject from the get go.
$100 to FR on election day 2012 says that neither Palin nor the GOP front-runner raises Obama's BC as a campaign issue.
