Donald Trump is not running for president.
"After considerable deliberation and reflection, I have decided not to pursue the office of the Presidency," Trump said in a statement Monday. "This decision does not come easily or without regret; especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country," the real estate mogul and reality show star continued.

The Donald was never a conservative evangelist, he was only a political opportunist unprepared for serious politics.
...and the “shilling for Hillary” crowd was especially off the mark.
Yeah baby.
But MINE was first!!!!!
I’m really surprised by all of the Freepers who are ecstatic every time a higher end possible candidate decides not to run. We will be left with a few fringe candidates none of whom have a chance in hell to win.
Cain? Yeah right.....that’ll never happen.
Palin is doomed. Damn the press probably has another 200 negative stories on her in the can.
My opinion is that the more higher profile candidate in the race, the better. I think the huckster was at least a high profile candidate...not that I would have voted for him.
LOL - thanks!
Thanks for the qualifier.
"NBC's Contingency Plans In Case Of NFL Strike, Trump Presidential Run: Reality On Sunday, Recasting Donald On 'Apprentice'http://www.deadline.com/2011/05/nbcs-contingency-plans-in-case-of-nfl-strike-trump-presidential-run-reality-on-sunday-recasting-donald-on-apprentice/
By NELLIE ANDREEVA | Sunday May 15, 2011 @ 11:50am PDTNBC has both Sunday Night Football and Celebrity Apprentice on its just-revealed schedule for next season despite the NFL football season being in limbo because of the current players lockout and Celebrity Apprentice star Donald Trump mulling a presidential bid. During a conference call today, NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt expressed hope that both football and The Donald will be back but also said that the network is working on contingency plans if that doesn't happen.
"Certainly were hoping that he will be back with us," Greenblatt said of Trump. But if he isn't, "we will bring the show back and have someone else at the head of the boardroom table. ... (Celebrity Apprentice) is too strong a franchise for us not to consider that." Greenblatt wouldn't discuss whom they have in mind as a replacement for Trump, only saying that it would be someone who is "confident and galvanizing.""
May mitt be next!
Because of Sarah Palin's ability to raise money and galvanize the base, the game changes when she decides whether she's running herself or whether she endorses someone else.
If she really wants to see Zero become a one-and-done, Sarah really needs to s*** or get off the pot.
See, here: #35
THis was just a formality. Trump was never running, and he was never a Republican.
He did the job he was hired to do - made a fuss over the Birth Certificate and took the eyes of everyone off the economy and the shenanigans of the admin for awhile.
The whole thing was a scam and a set up from the get go to allow the WH to ‘diffuse’ the whole Birther argument.
Yes, please do tell us how much you’ve loved Obama since 1998. /s
Good grief. The birthers’ collective brain bucket done sprung another leak.
I know, that’s why I’m sticking with this one! I still think we need at least 10 more. /s
No more than of a stunt or fraud than any of the others. It was an honest statement. He took the Republicans to school on how to beat Obama. I hope at least one of them was paying attention.
But MINE was first!!!!!

Yes it was. And within SECONDS there were other Trump threads. Also posted in Breaking News. Poor mods. They will be cleaning up the Breaking News sidebar all day.
I’m on the record for stating there will be 20 “Trmp is not running” threads today.
Maybe more.
Cool, now we can return to the slew of Politically Correct candidates lacking a backbone who will let the facist muslim continue to destroy the country uninterrupted.....
I didn’t want Trump to be President, but I DID want him to continue to play Fullback....
Another example of posting without reading.
For whatever his motivations, Trump did us a great service.
Trump simultaneously forced Obama to look weak and petty, and blew himself to smithereens in the process.
Now Obama has lost his best weapon. He wasted a massive credibility bomb against a liberal real estate mogul who in better times would have been his ally.
The birthers are neutralized. Some will cling on to The Truth forever, but as a political force, they’re history. They can be openly ignored by the GOP candidates now, who no longer have to endure their toxic litmus test.
Best of all, none of the conservative contenders got their hands dirty at all. It’s like they just sat back and watched their enemies light each others houses on fire. There’s been a lot of self-immolation on our side too, but that’s also been clearing out a lot of the riff-raff.
Obama is down, Trump is out, the birthers are shrinking, and our candidates look bigger and saner in comparison.
I may have missed something, but I don’t think there’s a single down side to how this played out.
Not surprising, but he sure did add color to an otherwise totally drab line up. Between The Donald and Huckabee pulling out of the race, and Newt’s going off track, it does force Sarah Palin to set up her exploratory committee or announce she’s out for ‘12.
I just hope Trump keeps speaking out on the economy, jobs, etc. He can keep the heat on Team Obama without being in the fray.
