Looks suspiciously like dithering on Bin Laden until he could use the killing to his advantage. And Trump forces him to play the (fake?) BC card in the same week...while there is oral argument in the 9th Circuit Monday, May 2?
Now Barry can't wag the dog with Bin Laden or the BC so two self-protective bullets are gone from the belt.
I have to believe Obama would have preferred to hold off on the BC controversy until much longer to minimize the time available for forensic scrutiny of the LFBC before the election.

I saw Trump weeks go in an interview telling the host that he will be 'surprised' by his (Trumps) decision, which Trump had already made. Sure, surprised if you are very gullable. I think even Rush said it was a make believe run.
Can you imagine if Trump actually was elected president after those claims he made? He would just call up China and OPEC and demand they forget their own interests and become his servant. Why didnt Bush and Obama do it if it was that easy, according to Trump? Because they are not as smart as Trump! They actually got elected, unlike Trump who just made believe.
Thank goodness Trump blundered into the Birther minefield before they went apefeces crazy on our candidates and held them up to the litmus test of birtherism.
This could have played out much much worse. For us I mean.

Get real! No one I know of thought he was serious or legit. But it is an undeniable fact that he did damage to Obama. Even the White House said so.

His announcement now was not a surprise or related to Huckabee. Trump always said he would announce his decision about May 15th due to the date of his last show of the season.

Either a candidate signs on as a full birther OR they don’t take the Constitution seriously and need to be dismissed discredited and disparaged - as YOU did with Palin quoting her saying the issue was a “distraction”.
Trump was NEVER a viable candidate - it was a publicity stunt bought largely by birthers. What is undeniable is that the release of the LF COLB cut the number of birthers in half and obliterated any hope of a Trump candidacy.
I thought “Palling around with Terrorists” was a much better approach actually.
No serious candidate is going to make this their issue - Trump self immolation “damaged” 0bama in your mind - but in reality it cut the number of birther in half. That you are still in denial about it shows that you were not, perhaps, very rational about the subject from the get go.
