This is now the mainstream press treats Republicans now. They simply default to the racist charge. NBC news anchor David Gregory interviews Newt Gingrich, GOP candidate for president, and calls him a racist since he mentioned 47 million people are now on food stamps.
Listen to how Gregory mentions - twice - that Gingrich gave the speech in Georgia, clearly implying Georgia is obviously some sort of racist hot spot.

People on food stamps is a race? There aren’t 47 million blacks in this country so who is being racist?
I found this break down by state, per centage of population that receive food stamps and was surprised to learn that the state of Oregon leads the pack of U.S. states with 20% of its population using them:

Among the poorest of the poor--single mothers, living below the poverty line with minor children to support 39.7 percent of AFDC clients are Black single mothers and 38.1 percent are White women with children. Food stamp recipients are 37.2 percent Black and 46.2 percent White. Medicaid benefits are paid to 27.5 percent Black recipients compared to 48.5 percent White clients.
It shows how liberals are the real racists since they have food stamps means blacks on the mind, so will believe that even though the other person does not say or even imply that. The left has gotten away with racism for far too long since they largely controlled the media and controlled the subject. More and more conservatives and independents need to make more of an effort to show they are the true racists.
Gingrich is dead on arrival. It doesn’t matter what NBC thinks of him.
It does no good for a Pubbie to deny charges of racism. Calling a Republican a racist is something that is never far from a lib’s mind. Of course, any criticism of Obama by someone who is not a self-identified lib is considered racist by libs. What Pubbies should do is go on the attack and ask these cruds why they persist in the racist angle. They should start out interviews by asking the lib interviewer when they’re going to get to the racism question and let’s get it out of the way first. That should flummox the lib.

Whites have always been on food stamps more than Blacks....recession or no recession.
They wouldn’t like me then. I’m for ending free school lunches. (And breakfasts and dinners.)
I am too. Especially the free breakfast and dinner. I mean really. We have to feed them three times a day now. Oh the parents still get a full month worth of food stamps regardless of whether the school feeds them or not. Ridiculous.
And weekend backpacks full of food!
People on welfare whose children receive ‘free’ breakfasts and lunches at school should have their monthly amount reduced to match what it costs the schools to feed their children.
