Two days after U.S. Navy Seals Team 6 made headlines around the world for the dramatic raid that killed terror mastermind Osama Bin Laden, the Walt Disney Company trademarked their name, reports FishbowlNY.
This doesn't effect how the Navy uses the moniker for military purposes, but it does mean we may soon be seeing 'Seal Team 6' branded products and entertainment.
According to records viewable online with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Disney filed the Trademark paperwork on May 3, 2011 for 'Seal Team 6'.

I’ve read two books about Disney (one by Michael Barrier and one by Neal Gabler), and I certainly don’t purport to be an expert on Disney, his ardent socialism isn’t broached or explored in either bio.
Indeed, both books depict him as fairly conservative and particularly anti-communist.
Now, I know a socialist can be anti-communist (suggesting that it goes too far, for example), but if Mr Disney was an ardent socialist, I would think it would be more prominent in both (or at least either) of these books.
Perhaps a young Walt Disney was a fan of Debs, but I don’t think the mature Disney was particularly leftist or even liberal.
