What I did add was “It’s critically important that Obama is defeated in 2012” taken from an interview played on Greta a few weeks back.

If he runs as an independent, he never really had the intention to defeat Obama, but to get him elected.

Didnt say trump would Win the primary ( he won’t ) but they would have to debate and Trump would squish him like a bug. Also Trump would keep him on the offensive on larger issues since he got away with the bc issue which was really small potatoes...A trump primary will hurt O and show O for the inexperienced child that he is..Trump doesnt want to be president but he also doesnt want O to be either. Trump, after the damage is done to O, will then drop out of the race due to conflicts, etc

Look at the list I compiled, post #2.

How many Democrats would even consider, for even a fraction of a second, voting for someone espousing those postions?

If he runs as an independent, Trump's goal is not to get Democrats to vote for him, but enough Republicans and Independents, to allow Obama to win.

That's the only plausible explanation for running as an Independent vs. running as a Republican.

No Way! There are two cases on the Supreme Court docket, there have Finally been oral arguments in two courts - things are just warming up! It’s not just the birth certificate, it’s the fact that the Obamas (not just Mr.) are being charged with documented SSN fraud and the courts may well allow discovery, which would have enormous consequences.

You can watch the 9th Circuit Appeals argument on C-SPAN...check it out and you’ll see what I mean about standing:

Donald Trump’s long-time advisor Roger Stone tweeted today “Get ready for Trump the Novermber Independent !”>>>>>>>>

This guy is a mega-kook who goes way back to Richard Nixon. He knows Trump and that is about it. I predict Trump will run Republican or not at all.

Sounds like 1992 all over again:

Popular vote

Clinton (D): 44,909,806 - 43%

Bush(R): 39,104,550 - 37.5%

Perot(I): 19,743,821 - 18.9%

If the Republican elites would have listened to the legitimate issues raised by Perot and his grassroots supporters, they would have won the election. Once more the Republican elites want to force a "moderate" candidate on the people who won't address the legitimate issues raised by Trump and the grassroots tea partiers. And they expect a different result?

We are getting screwed alright, but not because of people like Trump. We are getting screwed, once again, by the weak, effete, Republican elite.

Well, I hope you are right, because if not, he is really a traitor to everything we believe in, his speeches not withstanding.

Just what we need. A President who’s an expert on bankruptcy and now to get through it.

You have it backwards
If Trump runs he will only run as a Republican. If he gets the Republican nomination you will see large swaths of Democrats and Independents voting for him. Bammy Boy will cave like the punk he is and lose by 10-17 points

Trump is about winning. If he runs, he is going to run with only one objective, and that’s to win the Presidency.

If he runs, and I think he will, it’s going to be the most exciting campaign we’ve ever seen. Trump will be on the offensive and the Dems will be on defense from day one. Actually, now that I think about it, day one has already happened, and Obama was on defense big time.

It will only get better.

I agree. Listeing to trump talk, on several occasions, about how important it is to get Obama out, I’ve come to the conclusion that that is his #1 issue.........Obama defeated.

Unfortunately, we’re getting screwed by the American Voter, who listens to all the crap they hear on TV and buys this contention that only a Republican or Democrat can win. Why not an Independent? Why not a Libertarian? The only people who say they can’t win are the media, and that’s because their livelihood depends on The Big Party Political Drama.

I’m sick of both the parties - the fact that neither one has done anything to stop the destruction of this country...while the Bernankes and Geithners and the good old boys at Goldman Sachs get richer every day...tells me that another “Historic Election” like 2010 won’t accomplish any more than is happening now. The big $52 million budget cut - yeah, easy to see that Republicans are Surely our only salvation (ack)

I think that is just wishful thinking on your part.

Trump would be better than Obama, but too many of his positions and statements are flip-flops from recent statements and positions to make me feel comfortable.

He'll never make it to POTUS, however, if he had, my fear would be he would be the second coming of GWB, some good stuff and some really bad stuff. Enough to make you pull your hair out!

“Ross Perot had many weaknesses which Trump does not have.
He has an excellent chance to be elected as an independent.”

No he doesn’t. He has no chance. An independent Trump run means 4 more years of the Muslim Marxist./

There is good reason to be bitter about the Republicans, but not the Democrats.

The Democrats have always, always, always, been about changing our country into a ‘Socialists Paradise’. That means capitalism and the middle class must be destroyed. The Democrats are only doing what Democrats do, and have always done.

The Republicans, well, they been betraying their countrymen and their duty for years. Good reason to be furious with them.

I’ll let someone else explain it, but our political system is set up as a two party system. It’s either D or R. Maybe the R can be replaced, but the system will not tolerate a third party.

I’m calling it a day.
