Whem I was a kid we had a very mature mulberry tree on the property, so much in fact one could climb all through it’s branches & on the lower end of the tree they hung so low it was like a cave inside.

I loved that tree. I have such found memories of lazying in it’s braches & eating those sweet black berries til my hands were stained!:)

Good times...

I love hearing others childhood memories!

I have them of climbing trees, playing outdoor games until late, finding the largest water hole possible in the summer (with a long rope for swinging..woo-hoo), all day bicycle rides, picking cherries, tomatoes, peaches, cutting grapes and going home with a dollar was a BIG deal..we thought we were rich! Ahh...the good old days!

Sounds like you had an awesome tree when you were growing up (where did you grow up, btw?).
One of our creates a sort of cave too, but it's not strong enough for climbing.

Heh heh. Not only do you get stained hands, but you get stained feet too from walking under the tree where so many ripe ones have fallen. I remember my baby brother's little feet getting so purple last year from that...
