Captain Eddie Westphal
The 1975 Islanders weren't even supposed to have gotten to the quarterfinals against Pittsburgh. The third-year club wasn't expected to get past their big-city rival, the Rangers, in the best-of-three preliminary round -- but they did, winning Game 3 in overtime at Madison Square Garden in a game then-Isles GM Bill Torrey later called "the biggest win in franchise history."

The top three especially deserve their rankings...but only Cam Neely had the stones to be cast as a gay trucker named Seabass.

I think Mark Messier was probably the most talented hockey player to ever play the game. He could play wing, center, offense and defense and play the game well.

Dwayne Roloson has been huge for the Tampa Bay Lightning, and he may definitely be a hero of the Boston - Tampa Bay series. Being an Islanders fan and him being a former player for that team, I’m definitely supporting him, as they also have Sean Bergenheim who was also an Islanders player.

I'm a Wings fan, but I just don't see them pulling this one off. Mule hasn't played much this series and didn't produce much when he did. Zetterberg and Pavel haven't produced much, but have kept the Wings in the game. They need some more people stepping up.
Thing is, they don't really start going till the third period. They certainly wore the Sharks down in game 6. The Sharks were seriously frustrated at the end of the game, slapping and punching at Wing players even after the buzzer. If they keep coming at them all game long, look for a wild third period! Still, I think the Sharks will pull it out in OT. The Wings are just playing too hurt, regardless of the volumes of experience they have.

It’s too bad this game isn’t on network TV, considering how poor the rest of their offering are.

The darkest of dark horses: Douglas Murray or Scott Nichol in OT.

Steve Yzerman in 96 against the Blues. Whoever was the 6th man on the ice for Don Cherry's Bruins in the Conference Finals in 79. With about two minutes left, there was a too many men on the ice penalty, and Guy LaFleur scored on the power play to tie the game. Montreal scored in OT and won the game, series, and eventually a 4th straight Cup.

Guess I’ll have to root for the Bruins now.
