Big deal. Americans working for foreigners who reap the profits. I’m hardly excited

I'm with ya on that, there's no reason to be happy about any U.S. citizens becoming gainfully employed at the hand of foreign investors.............

And it's time we kick Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mercedez, Jaguar, etc... out of this country and close down their damn plants!

Now, does that make you happy?

As a side note, eliminating "right to work" laws should take care of your problem.......Would that make you happy now?

So you would prefer having the car headquartered in Mexico where no American gets a job out of it? Maybe Canada? It isn't like Porsche is some Johnny Come Lately car company trying to edge out ours. Plus there are dealers making a living and service techs that are employed here from the sale of those cars. I'm sure Atlanta business owners will enjoy the increased prosperity.

Profits are what is left after expenses are paid, including handsome salaries to lots of local Americans and taxes to support local govt., thereby reducing the burden on citizens. Also, customers will visit the facility, bringing money to local businesses.

The kind of transportation improvements being made are the kind of things that are always being done by state transportation agencies to encourage business in an area.

Unfortunately, cars remotely similar to Porsches have not been made in America since the time of the Deusenberg. And the proposed facility is not a factory anyway.

Your view is simplistic and wrong.

The shareholders get the profits or benefits from the growth. If you buy shares in Porsche AG, you that is an American FReeper, reap the profits.

Multinational ownership means multinational profit distribution.
