WASHINGTON (AP) — Select members of Congress are making appointments at CIA headquarters to view graphic photos of Osama bin Laden's corpse. But the American people might have to wait decades to see images of the al-Qaida leader who was killed in Pakistan by Navy SEALs during a daring middle-of-the-night raid. Advertisement

The CIA is allowing members of the House and Senate Intelligence and Armed Services committees to see the photos in a secure room at the agency's headquarters in Langley, Va., a CIA spokesman said Wednesday. Lawmakers cannot take copies of the photos with them.

Sen. James Inhofe, a Senate Armed Services Committee member, said he saw photos of bin Laden's body Wednesday at the CIA, making him the first member of Congress to take advantage of the spy agency's offer. Inhofe said he spent nearly an hour looking over more than a dozen photos of Osama's body. The photos were taken at the scene and on board the U.S. Navy ship that buried bin Laden's body at sea.

Inhofe is the same fool who counts snopes.com as THE final word on posted fraudulent Internet documents. The pubbies suffer from simpleton syndrome ... when democrats roar, the pubbies play simpleton so the media won’t ridicule them.

Anyone who's seen the result of a head shot would probably agree with not releasing the photos. Fact is that it's pretty gruesome

I call BS on the whole episode. bin laden has been dead since 2002 and this whole stunt is a political campaign maneuver for the imposter.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but if that's true, why didn't GWB publicize it?

He never could stand up for himself.
The lying media is claiming that the usurper is now at a 60 percent approval after this media stunt. I knew it was fake 10 minutes after the press release. Now they will “leak” some new found information monthly for the next 18 months. Prove me wrong!

Sandy Berger could be elected to Congress, smuggle the pictures out in his socks, then he can have them posted on WikiLeaks. Leaks on WikiLeaks is a good thing, right?

Last text message from UBL? "I'll keep an eye out for the SEALS."

IMHO the whole deal stinks. They must have taken hundreds of pictures and should have been able to show a few of them. At the right distance and angle and of things other than bin Ladin.

I can think of two reasons.

1. Even if Bush wa confident that bin Laden was pushing up daisies somewhere in the Tora Bora, he couldn't prove it.

2. Had he claimed bin Laden dead, a lot of liberals would've said, "O.k., that's it. Mission accomplished. Time to bring the troops home."

I mean it's not like the Democrat were trying to help win the War on Terror in 2002...

“One of the photos was of bin Laden’s head and showed what appeared to be the fatal wound, according to Inhofe, R-Okla. ‘Either a bullet, the significant bullet, went through the ear and out the eye socket, or vice versa,’ Inhofe said in an interview.

“Brain matter was hanging out of the eye socket, Inhofe said. ‘It wasn't a very pretty picture,’ he said.’”

Inhofe appears to be describing an exit wound out the eye, if there is “brain matter hanging out of the eye socket.”

Inhofe says the corresponding entrance wound might have been in the ear, but it could have been concealed in the hair on the back side of the head, depending on whether the head was shaved for the quickie “forensic examination.”

I would expect military regulations to require a full autopsy before the disposal of any gun-shot casualty before the body could be “consigned to the deep.”

If Bin Laden was shot in the back of the head, whether fully justified by circumstances or not, it would make Obama look bad and invite suspicions and buttress a case that he was executed, and Obama’s campaign team (and legal team) couldn't have that!

Yep.

If the exit wound was through an eye, that means he was shot in the back of the head. While I am thrilled at that prospect, it goes completely against what we’ve been told happened.

Is Obama going to hang the SEALs out to dry over this?

No one is going to prove a negative, Mr. Tinfoil.
