He’s been a sausage maker. And a maggot farmer, crab picker, cow midwife, buoy cleaner, hair removal technician, lightning rod installer and camel nanny. But mudslinger? Not yet. Discovery Channel’s “Dirty Jobs” host Mike Rowe may see both sausage making and mudslinging on Wednesday when he appears before the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation as a “witness”.

Mike Rowe could be a very effective spokesman. He really seems to get it. Education is fine but it doesn’t mean squat if we’re restricted and regulated into oblivion.
An earlier thread and video of a Mike Rowe speech about his discovery that the PETA way often inflicts more pain than the farmer’s way and the realization that OSHA often stands in the way of getting the job done.

I’m sure Mike will do a great job before Congress. He’s quite sharp and doesn’t shoot from the lip.
But there’s one thing I want to see ... a picture of Mike Rowe seated before the Senate committee.
I’ve noticed that Mike Rowe NEVER appears without a hat, helmet or other headgear on his noggin. EVER! I’ve watched him for years on the Discovery Channel and not once has he been bare-headed.
Methinks Mike may have a little “male pattern” action going, but simple decorum states that he will dress up for the Senate. And that means no hat.
