While President Obama is down on the border today talking about immigration reform, will anyone ask about a serious discrepancy in Attorney General Eric Holders testimony before Congress last week, during which he claimed to have not known about the Project Gunrunner controversy until a few weeks ago.
During an interview with Chicagos WLS-AMs Don Wade and Roma Friday, Sen. Charles Grassley revealed that he personally handed copies of letters sent on Jan. 27 and a Jan. 31 to Acting ATF Director Kenneth Melson, detailing the senators concerns about the gun sting, operated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. This column confirmed that January meeting with a Grassley aide this morning. Sen. Grassley subsequently sent other letters to Holder on the Gunrunner controversy, on Feb. 9 and on Feb. 16, and again on March 3. For Holder to have such a memory lapse may be one reason why the Bellevue-based Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms called on Holder to step down. Ten days ago in Pittsburgh, National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre also said Holder should go, which this column reported.
During his radio interview (click here), Grassley told WLS:
"But I'm kind of flabbergasted by him saying to the House that he really didn't know about this till just lately because on January 31, I personally handed him a letter so that he would know about my investigation and know about this gun runner situation, but they don't seem to be willing to own up to it.Sen. Charles Grassley to WLS
The president today is in El Paso reportedly courting Latino voters and in Austin to collect campaign cash. So far, he has insisted to Univision that he did not approve the operation,

Aw he is just fishing for votes, the SOB.
I am sure he CAN explain. But he won’t. He doesn’t have to...........Big Media has his back in every unlawful situation.
More disgusting pandering from Boroach Obuggery.
They are all lying, cheating scoundrels. Every single one of them.
Nothing would please me more than to see all of them hung out to dry.
How does this reach critical mass?
Traditional Obama Administration at work. Mounting evidence and testimony shows the OA is neck deep in a complicated scheme to deceive the voting public as to the origins of drug cartel firearms. This scheme extends to the highest levels of BATFE and the USDOJ and perhaps the White House. Its objective is to deprive law-abiding american citizens to not only access to firearms, but to deter open public discourse and exchange of private property. IOW, law-abiding americans are being perceived as “potential criminals” by the Obama Administration. Yet active violent groups/gangs are not being prsecuted, regardless of the preponderance of evidence aga=st them...... >PS
When anyone attempts to answer the question: How could a flunky Ass't Attorney General or even Holder himself authorize dumping guns into Mexico? No President would ever trust anyone to do that.
When did Obama know? When he authorized it, when he and his radical associates planned it. The idea started with the community organizer wanting to get the ball rolling toward screwing over the gun manufacturers, then the distributors and then the gun buying public.
Obama himself is the grand prize in this spectacle. Obama thinks you are stupid and will buy the bait of pawns when the King is very vulnerable. Like Nixon, he's screwed if we get just a little more information.
I get that and I understand the importance of showing O at the center of the plan. My question is, "Why does it matter to the average citizen?" So the gov sells a bunch of guns to the drug lords in a purported effort to track something or other. Why is this a big enough deal to bring down the president? Lacking the self righteous indignation of the MSM where's the beef?
