Benjamin Haas, communication studies graduate student, will burn an American flag tomorrow at noon on the Parade Ground as part of a peaceful protest, according to Cody Wells, Student Government president.
Wells said Haas is exercising his First Amendment right to burn the flag. The burning comes nearly a week after Isaac Eslava was taken into custody after cutting down and burning the American flag flying over the War Memorial and stealing the University flag.
___ Sadly, a student has filed a peaceful protest with the university to burn an American flag at noon tomorrow. Please join our Student Body Leaders and the LSU Student Body on the parade grounds tomorrow at 1 p.m. to say the Pledge of Allegiance and sing the National Anthem. Thanks guys.

I agree. Burning Korans...or better yet, marinating them in pig’s blood before burning would probably put an end to this.
(Videocam and cheering squad are optional...) '-)

That’s an ass kicking waiting to happen....
Fox news picked it up:
How do you stop an American flag burning?
Toss a Koran on it.
That’s the best strategy.
bring water balloons
Remembering the picture of the *Criminal* and seeing the picture of *The New Guy*, one would almost have to guess there's more than just solidarity going on between them.......Just saying.
Shame I am not going to LSU...I would burn a Koran right beside his burning the US flag....you know, as an expression of my 1st Amendment rights.... =.=
Forget counter protests; show up with buckets of water and fire extinguishers. This happened in the late ‘80s at the Univ. of Texas. If he has the right to demonstrate, so do you!
