INDIANAPOLIS Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels says he thinks he could beat President Barack Obama in 2012. He just hasn't decided whether he'll try.
The Republican governor said Tuesday his chances of beating Obama would be "quite good," but that's not factoring into his deliberations on a White House run. He spoke to reporters after giving public service awards to state employees.
Daniels' comments came a week after he said he wasn't ready to debate Obama on foreign policy. They also appeared to break with a public image he's crafted of a reluctant and self-deprecating politician.

I just don't know about this man, people say he is a true conservative but when a lot of establishment and RINOs are pushing this guy to run, I have to pause, wouldn't you?
they only pick people like them or those they can control, right?

He caved to the wants of labor unions! He’s not acceptable.

(If leftist legislation that's already in place really can't be ended by non-leftists, then what?)

I’d vote for him over most of the current candidates. He should be judged by his track record. If he doesn’t run on the social issues..fine..just as long as we know that he won’t veto what more conservative congress does..and I doubt he would. Let him be silent of those issues.

I am not voting EVER for Mitch “Truce on Social Issues” Daniels.
He is not POTUS material, he is not a leader.
To: Bigtigermike
That's ok Mitch. Don't put yourself out or anything. We'll find a way to muddle through without ya.
He just hasn't decided whether he'll try.
Think you can make that decision by November 2012 Mitch?

The man that supports big government and more taxes, as along as you call the new taxes something else. But his wife's high heels does make him look a little taller.
To: Bigtigermike
He wants to abandon social issues, has supported VAT tax and wants to play nice with Obama. Daniels sounds more like a McCain clone than a conservative.

Any pubbie with a backbone that hammers this marxist puke on his record will win. If the nominee is some milquetoast-RINO-moderate wuss who campaigns by the Marquis-of-Queensbury rules, McCain for instance, he gets wupped.

Unfortunately, this picture says it all. I'd vote for Daniels in a microsecond. But the guy looks like he's about 5'4" or so. He is also follically challenged. The women aren't gonna like that.
Yes I'm gonna get slammed on this but a certain percentage of women will vote based upon this. It's a known fact that Kennedy won in 1960 on the slimmest of margins (assuming he really won) and there was a huge difference between how women and man voted in that election. If only men had voted, Nixon would have won very comfortably. There can be no doubt that many women voted for Kennedy because they thought he looked better. Sorry if the truth hurts, but I'm the Truthguy.
