Washington (CNN) – Add another name to the list of Democrats determined to oust Republican Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown from his seat.

On Monday, Newton Mayor Setti Warren announced he will run against the first-term Republican in next year's Senate race. The Democratic mayor unveiled a web video that was part personal biography, part anti-Brown attack ad.

"I believe Scott Brown is an honorable man," Warren said. "But he has not been the independent voice in the Senate that so many expected him to be. He's voted 87-percent of the time with his national Republican leaders."

And this "independent voice" will be right down the middle.

Please! Oust away. We’d be just as screwed with a Marxist Democrat in his place. And I’d respect the Marxist Democrat more.

I still haven’t received my demanded refund of my Scott Brown campaign contribution. Should I sue?

At least with the Marxist Dem, the knife would come from the front where you can see it.

If I had the means, I most definitely would sue. Brown has blatantly lied to those who supported his election. With what people are suing over these days, it would not be out of the ordinary for someone to sue a politician for breaking his promises. I may not win, but I’d get his attention.

Not to worry - John Cornyn will ride in and the NRSC will empty the war chests on this one. We can’t be losing any more RINO’s.

He's voted 87 percent of the time with his national Republican leaders," said Warren.

US Representative Barney Frank, a fellow Democrat from Newton, publicly declared that Warren should not run, telling Politico, "I think the timing is bad for him." --------------------------------------------------------------

I see Freepers who think Martha Coakley would have been better than 87% with Republicans. True Geniuses.

Geniuses indeed - what crap to think we’d be better off a Boston RAT than Scott Brown. What are those guys smoking?

As if fighting the true enemies of our country and our way of life isn’t enough....

This mayor is a useless opportunist 0bot. He hasn’t finished one term and Even Barney Frank doesn’t want him. Scott Brown is the best thing to happen to MA in 50 years!

This guy wants to leave Newton already? The rich Newtonian Democrats aren’t yet done patting themselves on the back for electing a black guy as mayor.

To take back the Senate, we will need seats in bodies with a letter by their name no matter how they will vote.

That does NOT mean vote for just any Republican, but that Marxist Democrat you let take the seat will also mean cumulative control of the Senate.

This guy Brown voted to sodomize the US military.
That’s all I need to know about him. Good riddance to Scott Brown.

You're right about Warren's "independent voice" comment. He'd be just as lockstep with the Democratic party as he claims Brown is with his party.

Really, 87% with the GOP isn't that bad. Beats the hell out of Kennedy or Kerry. Brown has certainly had some bad votes but as a Californian, I'd take that record over Boxer or DiFi any day.

Those who stubbornly insist on making the perfect the enemy of the good will whine like babies when Democrats make gains in their Senate majority.
