I believe it. Rule #1: never trust someone else’s cat(s). And yes cat scratch fever is real.

I’ve heard of cat scratch fever, as well as their bites. I have a friend who was hospitalized because of a stray she was trying to bring in who bit her, and she developed a serious infection that required hospitalization.

However, the stray I took in last winter has this terrible habit of “grabbing” my hand with his big fat claws, or scratch my exposed arm for affection.

He has 5 teeth in his little mouth, one being a fang. He ALWAYS manages to get me with that fang (head tilted). My co-workers teased me about being a cutter (yes, it was that bad). Now I cover my arm that is next to him, which has lowered my “cutting”.

He is a stray I took in last winter so I have no idea what type of life he lead prior. What I do know is that he belonged to someone and was dumped.

He is a love bug; however I am not allowed to touch him below his neck. When I ferminate him, he freaks and bites me, but he has 40000 layers of down and fur!

I know he loves me and thinks of me as his mommy, but something happened to him that will not allow a total trust with me.

That’s okay. He’s safe now and has a permanent safe home. I love him with all my heart (even though I believe he might be gay. I thought he was a girl when he lived in my backyard, hence his name Mimi).
