read what President Obama’s Secretary of Energy Steven Chu had to say about gas prices back in December:
In a sign of one major internal difference, Mr. Chu has called for gradually ramping up gasoline taxes over 15 years to coax consumers into buying more-efficient cars and living in neighborhoods closer to work.
“Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe,” Mr. Chu

the best route for raising gas prices for Chu is to increase taxes and then demonize the oil companies for *gasp* making a profit. And if you don’t think government makes enough in taxes on gasoline, look here: Exxon makes an average of 2 cents per gallon in America, while government takes in an average of about 50 cents depending on your state.
Remember this the next time you fill up. Obama and his administration don’t want to lower costs, they want to raise them.

What they are saying is that they don’t want people living in rural area’s. One reason for this is they have less control over people living in the country. Chu has to remember one thing, we are not Europe and just because they do something, doesn’t mean we have to do the same thing. Europe is not a very good example for what we want to be.
Same idiot that thought painting all roof’s, roads, and parking lots white was a good idea.
Chu is the secretary of NO energy. He may be a brilliant physicist but he knows nothing about climate or the problems of the average citizen.

On the plus side. Well Europe is not spending a lot of money fighting in oil producing areas.

If we were fighting in these areas for oil, does it not make sense that we would have taken the oil?
Excellent. Make him defend this appointment, plus his own statements that energy prices “would necessarily skyrocket under my policies”. Beat him over the head with it every 15 minutes!

These ba$t@rds new what they were doing - now we are driving less and gas prices are out of control. Now we have to show the ba$t@rds in 2012 how we appreciate all they have done for us. We have to run them out of office and if possible I would like to run them out of America. Socialism doen’t belong here - we are not Europe and never will be.
