A new study of DNA suggests North America was originally populated by just a few dozen people who crossed a land bridge from Asia during the last Ice Age.

About 14,000 years ago, humans crossed the Bering land bridge from Siberia to North America, most experts agree. But just how many intrepid explorers were involved in spawning subsequent populations has not been known.

"The estimated effective size of the founding population for the New World is about 70 individuals," said Jody Hey, a professor of genetics at Rutgers University.

Wow, did they find the records recording this astounding information in the same place that Obama's birth certificate is kept?

70 people populated the whole continent? Huh, brings a whole new meaning to “kissing cousins”...

Dancing? It looked to me like he swallowed a ferret and it was chewing its way out. At least it was appropriate to the banality of the “music” and the idiocy of the “lyrics.”

The lead singer is now a representative in the Australian government. Still promoting his “give it back” mantra.

I saw a documentary on the History channel a couple of weeks ago that explores the Chinese connection in Sout America. In fact it expored many connections. I believe it was called “Who discovered America?” Something like that. Fascinating.

Cherokee and Greek are really different. I mean REALLY really different. I’ve not studied Cherokee specifically, but i have studied other Iroquoian languages like Mohawk and Oneida—whoa. A brain trained on Latin and Greek and other Indo-European languages has to get used to a completely different way of doing grammar. Just to give you an example, here’s the Cherokee pronoun system:

http://wiki.langwiki.info/Cherokee:Pronouns

Way more complicated than the Greek one. And Iroquoian languages pretty much don’t have any adjectives, where Greek has tons of them.

I have not seen any convincing relationship demonstrated between any American Indian language and any Old World language.

Lord, have mercy.

Oh, well, as far as I’m concerned he can give anything he owns to almost anyone he likes, and it won’t bother me at all.

Loathsome weenie.

>> By the way, some scientists are preparing to clone these massive marauding monsters into our peaceful world even as we debate the 70 DNA strains.

Funny you should bring that up ...

Joseph Farah was mocked earlier about a statement he apparently made concerning dinos...

“I am 100 percent certain man and dinosaurs walked the earth at the same time. In fact, I’m not at all sure dinosaurs are even extinct!”

Should the revivification of marauding monsters include the Jurassic kind, then perhaps Mr Farah is not all that wrong.
