Study Suggests That Winnie the Pooh Isn't Gender Equal, But Does it Matter?

A comprehensive study of traditional children’s book characters has determined that Pooh Corner may be rife with gender inequality.

Dr. Janice McCabe, a sociologist at Florida State University, examined nearly 6,000 children’s books between 1900 and 2000 and determined the stories have a definitive gender bias and a disproportionate representation of genders.

“We found that males are represented more frequently than females in the titles and the central characters in the book,” McCabe told Fox News Radio.

Fifty seven percent of the children’s stories featured male characters, 31 percent featured female characters and the remainder had animal characters of unknown gender identity, according to the study.

Either her glasses are askew or her eyes aren’t level.

Her glasses and eyes are fine. Her mind is bent.

This kind of reminds me of the south American chowderheads who claimed that Donald Duck was a tool of the CIA. Check this out for some laughs

Winnie is actually derived from Winnipeg, Manitoba. The original Winnie was a mascot of the 2nd Canadian Infantry. He went with them to England during WWI and ended up in the London Zoo. When the troops were ready to go back home, Winnie had become a beloved part of the zoo so he stayed behind and became the inspiration for Milne.

I figured she'd be a "looker"... as in "look away, look away". My suspicion was confirmed.

I wonder if she's ever had a boyfriend? I wonder about these people at times.

No, Pooh’s just a lovable if somewhat gluttonous dunce that means no harm to anyone.

Rabbit, on the other hand, is a homo.

Hmmmm, I don't know if she just studies the homosexual movement and/or she is a lesbian herself, but I noticed that most lesbians are not too good looking, although I say most, if not all, can improve themselves to be better looking if they would just work at it. As to the men, same thing but I do see good looking men who are homosexual.

A bit OT, but I often wonder if some homosexuals are created, i.e., the lifestyle chosen (although I'm sure there could be ones who are born that way), because people have a desire to be loved but they were stung at some point in looking for a mate so they would settle for one of the same sex. I know myself, I have not been too successful thus far but I do know that lifestyle is wrong plus my problem is more financial right now.
