WICHITA, Kansas The Justice Department under President Barack Obama has taken a harder line against anti-abortion activists accused of trying to block access to clinics, suing at least a half-dozen of them under a federal law that lay mostly dormant during the Bush administration.
The law, written to protect people who seek or provide abortions, was revived after Obama took office and in the wake of the 2009 slaying of Kansas abortion provider George Tiller, who was shot to death moments before Sunday services were to begin at his Wichita church.
Since Obama's inauguration, federal lawsuits have been filed against a woman who blocked a car from entering a clinic in Florida; a Texas man who threw his body across the door of a patient waiting area in San Antonio; and a Pennsylvania man who posted on the Internet the names and addresses of abortion providers and extolled his readers to kill them.
Government records obtained by The Associated Press show that in slightly over two years, the Obama Justice Department has filed six lawsuits under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, mostly to seek injunctions and fines. That compares with just one such lawsuit during the entire eight years of George W. Bush.
Tiller's slaying "brought home to many of us the terrible potential for violence and the need to use every legal means at our disposal to prevent it," said Barry Grissom, U.S. attorney for Kansas.

Maybe if anti-abortion activists just say they are a union, the same tactics would be A-OK. ;-)

I wonder what the activity being protected, could be called, if it isn’t violence. When one considers how much violence has taken place since 1973, it causes one to think in terms of a much distorted reality.
Proving that abortion on demand, infanticide by another name, is a principal tenant of progressive philosophy.
"That's why were going all out to slaughter as many babies in the womb as we possibly can. Who knows, these babies may grow up to be conservatives. It's much better to kill them now when it's easier" He was heard to continue.
(OK maybe not, but I bet he was thinking it)
I wonder exactly how much money is flowing back and forth between the abortion industry and the crooked politicians who give them carte blanche to exploit women by any means possible.
I bet if those funds were cut off, there’d be a lot less harassment of pro-life activists, and more oversight of the squalid abortion mills. Imagine if they were held to the same standards as vet clinics, instead of roach motels, and they were required to obtain true informed consent...
This coming from an administration that will not enforce the Defence of Marriage Act or immigration laws. I think it’s pretty clear where Obama stands... ON THE WRONG SIDE OF EVERY ISSUE. Rest assured, if Obama endorses something, one can assume it is bad for the U.S.
Our own government has become our enemy, said Pinal County (Arizona) Sheriff Paul Babeu.
