The photos are now widespread online and in newspapers, images of a confident President Obama striding toward the camera to announce the killing of Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.
Not so widespread, however, is the news that the photos werent from Obamas actual history-making speech. According to a Reuters blog post, the photos were taken after Obamas actual announcement, during a brief reenactment minutes later.

The reenactment isnt the only way the administration has edited its media rollout of bin Ladens death. In a widely used photo of Obama and his national security team in the Situation Room, what appears to be a picture near Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is blurred. The text below photo says the document is classified.

There may be a conflict between Obama and Panetta on this issue. As scary as it sounds, Panetta may have actually authorized the raid himself and Obama found out about it on the golf course and he rushed back to the White House. The fact he arrived so late at the situation room may explain why it appears he’s sitting on a waste basket or something.
I'm becoming more convinced by the day this week that the Clinton Gang is trying to drag Barry over the goal line, and they've finally decided to let the incompetent fool be tackled.
Have you seen a man shot in the head with a 5.56 round? That little round does serious damage when it hits bone.
Obama looks photoshopped in.
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
My neighbor was an ex Navy Manatee and he showed me pictures all the time of people shot with 5.56 rounds and guys who were punched in the nose.
Has Politico become a conservative site? There were 16 comments on the story.
1 positive
1 neutral
14 ranging from very negative to rabidly negative
Hmm.
Even with teleprompters and staging, this is the worst media debacle I can remember. Every few hours, there is another version of the killing of Bin Laden. Wonder what poor Baghdad Jim Carney will have to change in tomorrow’s presser.
Just to clarify, the Politico comments were positive and negative about Obama. I.e.: his detractors outnumbered his defenders 14 to 1.
Idiots... so the pic by Hillary is classified? Classless unprofessional idiots.
There are so many different things that conflict it is hard to keep up. Prisoners (all of the people in the mansion compound) captured, not captured, dead, not dead, children left behind.
Panetta says they did not watch it live in situ room yet I read when they released the pic they said they did.
I used to think it was people having class and professionalism after the fact; trying to keep a lid on leaks that could put special ops in harms way. Then Biden goes and tells which special forces and unit. The media and the Obama admin don’t have a clue what they are doing.
That is what I have been in, a nightmare since the night Obambo was elected President... And it is a nightmare that I can’t wake up from!
Thanks ColdOne.
Probably just Bawny Fwanks doin’ his thing—ahem.

extremely detailed account of how the operation was set off wihtout his permission. Given the photo of him in the situation room (in golf jacket, looking both alone and pissed), I am disposed to take this account seriously.
if panetta did this (and I am inclined to believe it possible), then it is pretty much open war between jarrett/obama and cia/dod/etc, so it is not surprising he is making sure his version gets out there early. It also probably explains the ongoing changing stories on the hit by the administration - who knows with what motive - to make it look like murder rather than justified (armed and shooting) killing?
So they had a “do over”. Ha, just like his swearing in at the Inauguration.
The President who refuses to release the photos of dead Bin Laden because they might anger Islamonazis wants to release 2000 photos of abuse of Islamist prisoners of war even THOUGH they most certainly will be used to recruit more jihadists.
Makes sense he’d fake his “mission accomplished” photo just in time for his 2012 fundraiser letters.
