President Barack Obama is to release up to 2,000 photographs of alleged abuse at American prisons in Iraq and Afghanistan in a move which will reignite the scandal surrounding Abu Ghraib prison in 2004.
The decision to make public the images sought in a legal action by the American Civil Liberties Union comes amid a political firestorm over alleged torture of detainees under President George W. Bush.
Some of the photographs, which will be released before May 28, are said to show American service personnel humiliating prisoners, according to officials.
The images relate to more than 400 separate cases involving alleged prisoner abuse between 2001 and 2005.

Every move Obama makes is done with one purpose in mind -— to encourage jihad and destroy the U.S. in every way possible. ....economically, socially, militarily.
Yet he will not release photos of the OBL takedown. This guy makes no sense.

You listed his play book for re-election very well. If he is concerned about releasing Osama’s death photo for fear of causing trouble then why in the h*** is he dragging this up now!
Well then I guess I must be tired too...
I think the point is that Obama did everything he could to deter and undermine our efforts in Guantanamo... and now takes credit for the results.
Did you post this article to contrast the non release of the Osama death photos? I don’t understand otherwise why you post a two year old article already a salt encrusted sore.
Yes, something has changed. All of a sudden its VERY relevant, while the white hut won't release photos of the supposed taking down of muslim kindred-to-zer0, OBL.
Because Obama thought it was perfectly fine to release 2000 photos of “prisoner abuse” at Guantanamo but just decided it would be disrespectful to release 1 OBL death photo. At least he kept his “stand with the Muslims” promise. I’ll bet he’s even penned a letter to the MB explaining that Panetta did it.

I am sOoo glad he did this. It only proves what a EXTREMISTS sympathizer he is. After all, non extremist muslims are glad Bin Laden is dead.
