Overthrowing the US government?
No wonder Ward Churchill showed up.

So, if there were a KKK or neo-Nazi history class, (supported by tax dollars); would it be ok if we made that class an ‘elective’ too?

I wouldn’t shed a tear if someone gave him the anarchist justice he so richly deserves.

history class that calls for death to the invaders and was found to advocate overthrowing the U.S. government
And the education department of Arizona has okayed this class? How is this not illegal, unconstitutional?
In the America I grew up in, the parents and taxpayers would have defended the Constitution ... with force if necessary.

I'm glad he was fired, but I thought it was for being a fake Indian, a plagiarizing author, and a counterfeit artist. But whatever works to get him out of the schools works for me. Personally I think he should be treated like a sexual offender and never allowed within 1,000 feet of any educational institution.

These are the kinds of classes that would die if the TUSD board made them electives instead of allowing them to substitute for history classes. The classes are only offered in the predominantly Mexican-heritage schools. If that doesn’t say all that needs to be said, then there’s more. There are a ton of elective classes offered in these schools, and the elective classes actually have value for a student’s future. There are great auto tech programs and business/computer programs that give dual credit—high school and college—to students who want to get ahead. There are engineering and robotics classes.
There is no drivers ed in the schools that offer these classes. Now tell me what is more valuable? Teaching illegal alien teens and their American counterparts to drive or teaching separatist ideology? Are sports that keep kids off the streets after school and that teach healthy lifestyles and the importance of making good grades more important than teaching separatist ideology? With all the budget cuts in the state of Arizona, the Tuscon school board must answer these questions. Do they care about the future or do they care about anti-American indoctrination?
BTW, I’m all for teaching illegal alien children to drive properly. It never occurred to me that the reason the non-white majority schools do not have drivers ed could be due to the number of illegal alien children. How can they teach kids to drive who cannot legally get a drivers permit? Ugh.

...Ward Churchill (the controversial, one-time University of Colorado professor who was fired for his views on 9/11)...No, he was fired for "research misconduct", i.e. plagiarism.

First Churchill is a fake Indian now he's a fake Mexican.
Playing cowboy and fake Indian or cowboy and fake Mexican, makes no difference to me.

I saw an interesting program on LINK tv called La Paloma. It was about the song as a protest vehicle world wide. They had some purportedly popular Mexican chanteuse sing the song with with modified lyrics. One of the lines was “... go up to the border and take a star from their flag...” The crowd went wild with cheering. They really mean to reconquer their lost states.

a controversial history class that calls for death to the invaders"Death to Invaders."
That would make an interesting south facing sign on the mexican border.
