I’ve forged a lot of iron and steel with commom charcoal briquettes for fuel. With a good supply of air you can melt steel to the point it flows like water. The towers formed perfect draft chimneys, the upward flow of air had to be intense.

I saw the aftermath of a Diesel fire in a generator room. A fuel line got a small crack in it and misted against the exhaust manifold of the generator. The resulting fire melted some steel in the room to the point that it sagged and collapsed upon its own weight.
