President Barack Obama and other administration officials are considering releasing a photo of Osama bin Laden's corpse on Tuesday, according to a report.
Also being considered for release are videos from "helmet cams" of the Navy SEALS elite team that carried out the operation in a town just north of Islamabad, Pakistan, ABC News reported. The troops captured the mission on tape wearing the helmet cameras.
"We are looking at releasing additional information, details about the raid as well as any other types of material, possibly including photos. We want to understand exactly what the possible reaction might be to the release of this information," White House counterterrorism adviser John Brennan said, according to the report.
I saw it before JimRob or the Mods had it taken down as a fake. It certainly looked real to me, although reversed, as if they wanted to hide the nasty “half-blown skull” out of the shot.

Logic dictates releasing the photos. No reason not to.
I have two theories why the Pres_ent hasn’t released the photos:
1. He wants to take a “higher road” than Bush, after showing Saddam’s brothers photos (remember, the vid of his hanging was actually leaked on the internet.
2. He doesn’t want to offend his Muslim brotherhood.
I believe (2).
There are reasons not to. I personally think they should be released because I like the idea of upsetting muslims (not that it is difficult to do), but I can understand, for security reasons, not wanting to inflame the crazies. Releasing a picture won’t make Bin Laden any deader.

You realize, don't you, that the White House has been claiming that Obama was "brave" to order the raid instead of just flattening the compound with an air strike because Obama wanted to be able to prove that Osama bin Ladin was dead? Now that proof is at the bottom of the ocean.
You realize, don't you, that an imaginary "believed to be alive" Osama bin Ladin helps al Qaeda more than a live Osama bin Ladin since the imaginary one can live in the imagination of millions of Islamist fanatics forever and never be killed the the future by a more competent President?
You realize, don't you, that a demoralized Arab Street fights less well against America than an inspired Arab Street?
My guess is that he was porked. Pork was inserted into multiple orifices insuring he would go straight to hell. I can imagine Obama’s soul’s reaction. “THAT’S BACON!”

You do understand, don’t you, that Bin Laden had become increasingly isolated and didn’t hold much influence over al qaeda anyway? You do understand, don’t you, that the Taliban has done just fine recruiting in Afghanistan without any input from Bin Laden? You do understand, don’t you, that there are more terrorists who are not affiliated with al qaeda or Bin Laden who seek to destroy Westerners as well as other muslims?

You are absolutely correct, this should have been a DOD, military, briefing. #1, the people in the whitehouse do not know and have no experience in the military. They talk about the military but as civilians who know nothing of the military, except what they’re told. As for Corney the pitiful pressman....what can we say? He had his tongue tied around his eye tooth the whole time, explaining the mission and couldn’t see what he was saying. It was dreadful.

What good would a faked photo do? Either he is dead of whatever cause, or he is alive and will prove it soon enough.
Millions of fanatics believe he is dead. Those who think he is alive won’t soon enough. A photo of his brains- dripping body will be just as good as the Bolivian Che photo.
AQ may claim “fake” regardless. If they don’t want to be convinced, they won’t be. And who cares if they are? The point was to kill OBL; reality will catch up soon enough.
I agree and why weren’t any of the reporter’s asking the important question of why it was ok to release the photos of saddam’s dead sons but not osama??
I’ve read osama’s father, fathered 50 children from different “wives”. I don’t know the breakout of sons and daughters. osama’s Mom was Syrian, his dad Saudi.
