Trump was a sideshow distraction as will be this OBL killing, which was a more positive one than Trump. Neither are going to be the focus of the 2012 debate. The focus will be our National economic death spiral and maybe it will be a serious debate this time,we can hope.
There are also many Republicans that want to take Obama on on National Security issues as with the end of 2009/early 2010, to have the 2008 McCain-Obama national security debate that never was. They are not that happy either that Obama gets to take credit, even though it wont help him.

By the way, the UK Daily mail is reporting that wikileaks dump of April 25th made it clear that the US knew the name of the courier, and may have sped up the action. Also appears that the info came from Abu Faraj al-Libi (who was waterboarded).

It must be killing the MSM that the Bush approval rating went up to something like 95% after the 9/11 attack, but now Obama gets no bounce for killing OBL.
if true this is HUGE! Even the most cynical amongst us would have expected that number to zoom northward and stay there at least a little while.
And let’s not forget....for 10 years, the DEMS have been opposed to the war, both in afghanistan and iraq, they wanted to defund our military, hillary insulted petreaus, obama was against the war on terror, and the dems fought against interrogations, and the media put out pictures that hurt our military....I DONT FORGET. This was Bush/Cheney policies put in place ALL THE WAY. Smart people know this.

BINGO! His narcississtic display the other night reminded the whole country that we have a petty manchild in the WH! Obama started out alright and then turned the whole thing into a campaign speech that was all about him. He actually looked very small when the whole thing was over.
All he had to do was lavish praise on our troops and spooks and say something gracious about President Bush’s relentless pursuit and the whole country would have been eating out of his hands. But alas, his pathological narcissism just wouldn’t allow him to do anything that was gracious ,mature or statesman like.
