Just think to yourself--they paraded Saddam's dead sons around to prove they were dead--why do you suppose they hastily buried this version of OBL at sea? I do, likewise, for all of your reasons and some of my own. My reasons for doubting are 1) No proof—no pictures, (pictures were promised, but now this administration is backtracking), no DNA. 2)too quick and convenient for Obama burial at sea (although I agree it's important that there is no place for a pilgrimage or martyr status, if true.) Obama’s version of the truth is what we have to operate with now, and I'm not sure we'll ever know the real truth. 3)Political cover and distraction for Obama—he does it all the time. What was that old saying, “Wag the Dog.”
I'm praying that none of Obama’s obfuscation works, and that any bump he gets in the polls is short lived.

As we learned from OJ, the chain of custody must be continuous in order to have integrity. If the OBL DNA chain of custody runs thru the hands of folks that within 24 hours had the "burial at sea", the folks that have a desire to get birth certificate stuff off the front page, then this is a weak chain of custody at best.
Maybe it would've been better to bury him with a highly visible (and extremely durable) shrine...and bomb it at random intervals, say once a week or so. This could be done in perpetuity, or until bodies stop appearing there.

Which sounds right,my guess is the book, is written by someone whose name won't be used or, well, he has no problem with his name being used, and is taking that chance.
