Let’ not forget Anwar al-Awlaki who was put on the CIA hit list. He was an American citizen who was never given the benefit of a trial. This step was taken by 0bama who frequently criticized Bush’s treatment of non-citizen terrorists.

I was wondering if EO-12333 is still in force. You remember, the one banning "targeted assassinations", signed By Ronald Reagan in 1981? Strange, now the shoe is on the other foot and it appears that targeted killing is an acceptable part of our foreign policy. I'm not saying that I disapprove but it seems to me to be disingenuous for the current administration to claim success after eight straight years of carping about GW's "war crimes". I guess now they see the light, albeit in a somewhat tardy manner.

Regards,
GtG

That is what has impressed me, too. BTW, I don't disagree with the idea of killing certain people such as bin Laden. He was not a head of state but was a free-agent terrorist who was on just about every law-enforcement "wanted" list in the world. But imagine if Bush had done this!
