Proverbs 24:16 -- For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, but the wicked stumble in time of calamity.
Proverbs 24:17 -- Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;
Proverbs 24:18 -- Or the LORD will see it and be displeased, and turn His anger away from him.
It would probably be best to follow what God says here. In addition, anyone who supported, fraternized with or was working with Osama Bin Laden needs to be tracked down and brought to justice. No glee or gloating need be involved, just plain justice for all of the unnecessary killing and loss of American lives because of his direction and influence.

It’s hard not to be joyful today, but we also need to remember the victims of this murderous savage.
I was taught that the Proverbs were written by King Solomon, not G*d. In fact, in Hebrew they are called the proverbs of King Solomon, if I am not mistaken.
I was also taught that the only part of the Bible that G*d wrote directly, were the Ten Commandments, the rest was written by humans who were divinely inspired.
This may seem like a small point, but the Moslems believe that the entire Koran was written (dictated) by Allah directly to Mohammed who wrote it down. Thus their injunctions of interpretation and translation of the Koran.
Perhaps opinions differ on these matters, if so I have not ever heard about it.

Plus, it is natural you would have folks come out like that. Even in our small ETX town, I was hearing car horns and firecrackers going off for an hour after the announcement.

Yes, that is true. The admonishment to believers, though, is not to gloat. Justice yes, gloating no. And, the job is not finished over the death of one on-the-run, now insignificant terrorist. A huge mop up operation needs to commence and be efficiently run, especially on Islamic supporters who are stateside.

But by and large people ignore God's word...or just take the bits and pieces they want to follow...so don't expect to be popular.
BTW...I posted the same verses a while back about Obama and his poll numbers (in regards to gas prices)...didn't go over too well.
They've released some of the Seal reports this morning and said he was living in relative luxury. I wouldn't be surprised if some wealthy Saudi made sure he had the best doctors and equipment.
